RUTH CARRADINE
CARY Ruth Carradine died Monday, July 2, 2001, at Sharkey-Issaquena Hospital in Rolling Fork. She was 56.
Mrs. Carradine was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Carradine, and a brother, Cleveland Smith III.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Carradine of Chicago; one daughter, Sharon Carradine House of Chicago; two sons, Jimmy Carradine Jr. and Andre Carradine, both of Chicago; her mother, Lola Smith of Cary; five sisters, Dasie Goodlow of Savannah, Tenn., Carrie Smith of Blue Island, Ill., Shirley Bunch of Dumfries, Va., Linda Sanders of Bolingbrook, Ill., and Jenita Strickland of Chicago; four brothers, Earnest Smith and Eddie Smith, both of Cary, George Smith of Memphis and Cleveland Smith Jr. of Chicago; 15 grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; friends and other relatives, including Dextra Sanders of Cary.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Mount Zion M.B. Church in Cary with the Rev. Malachi Washington officiating. Burial will follow at Cary Community Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon Sunday until the service at the church.

MARTHA JEAN BOULTON HARRIS
PORT GIBSON Martha Jean Boulton Harris died Sunday, July 1, 2001, at Claiborne County Hospital. She was 35.
Mrs. Harris was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George David Boulton and Gloristine Thomas; and a brother, Luther Kilcrease.
She is survived by three daughters, Ethel Boulton, Latoya Harris and Jacqueline Carter, all of Port Gibson; two brothers, Danny Lee Boulton of Port Gibson and George D. Boulton Jr. of Clarksdale; seven sisters, Rosie Reuben, Annie Washington, Gloria Boulton, Linda Boulton, Nancy Boulton and Bobbie Boulton, all of Port Gibson, and Barbara Boulton of Clarksdale; two grandchildren, Shakelseya Williams and Trevon Boulton, both of Port Gibson; and other relatives including Mattie Claiborne, Lillie Mae Brown and George Johnson, all of Port Gibson, and Willie Wesby, Joseph Johnson and Eddie Johnson, all of Winnsboro, La.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Mark M.B. Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Eddie Walls officiating under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson.
WALTER CARPENTER HAZZLERIGG
JACKSON Walter Carpenter Hazzlerigg died Monday, July 2, 2001, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. He was 52.
A Vicksburg native, Mr. Hazzlerigg worked as an engineer for miniature railroads in Jackson and Dallas.
He is survived by two sons, David Hazzlerigg and Tim Hazzlerigg, both of Jackson; one daughter, Allyson Hazzlerigg of Vicksburg; his mother, Rita Hazzlerigg of Vicksburg; his fiance, Yolanda Feduccia of Jackson; a sister, Caroline Cummins of Vicksburg; and a brother, Donald Hazzlerigg of Vicksburg.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Michael Catholic Church in Vicksburg.
Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home of Jackson has charge of arrangements.
AGNES HUNTER HODGE
EDWARDS Services for Agnes Hunter Hodge will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bethlehem M.B. Church in Edwards with the Rev. Willie Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Sunday until the service at the church.
Mrs. Hodge died Monday, July 2, 2001, at her daughter’s home. She was 71.
A resident of Edwards, Mrs. Hodge was a member and usher of Bethlehem M.B. Church. She was retired from the Hudspeth Center in Pearl.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Hodge; a son, Walter Hodge; and her parents, Walter Hunter and Johnnie Cox Hunter.
She is survived by five sons, Robert Lee Hodge of Tacoma, Wash., Hillman Hodge and Lester Hodge Jr., both of Edwards, Willie Hodge of Yazoo City and Kennard Hodge of Marietta, Ga.; four daughters, Bobbie Ann Noel, Verlene Hodge, Glenda Hodge and Alice Hodge, all of Edwards; three brothers, Roosevelt Hunter of Chicago, Wardell Hunter of Vicksburg and Walter Hunter of Arkansas; two sisters, Lucille Crump of Edwards and Julia Bell Hunter of Jackson; 32 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives.

ORA LUCILLE HUNT
Services for Ora Lucille Hunt will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Second Union Baptist Church in Utica. Burial will follow at Second Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at Williams Funeral Service and from noon until the service Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Hunt died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at Kaiser Sunset Hospital in Los Angeles. She was 49.
She graduated from Rosa A. Temple High School in 1970. She graduated from Los Angeles City College with a degree in business and attended Long Beach State University where she majored in Early Childhood Development. She was employed with Bank of America for 26 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee G. Hunt and Vantee Turner Hunt.
She is survived by her daughter, Akira C. Atkins of Los Angeles.; a half-brother; three half-sisters; and other relatives, including Carrie L. Riley, Kathy Jackson, Pearlie Akama and the Robinson, Hicks and Turner families, all of Vicksburg.
PEARLIE JONES
Services for Pearlie Jones will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Travelers Rest M.B. Church with the Rev. Roosevelt Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at Williams Funeral Service and from 10 a.m. until the service Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Jones died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at her home. She was 55.
She was a member of First Baptist Church. She served as a teacher with the Vicksburg Warren School District and Illinois Public Schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Jones Sr.; her father, Henry Brown Sr.; a brother, John Brown; and her grandparents, Jack and Mary Lou Brown.
Survivors include four sons, Calvin Henry Jones and Steven Lamont Jones, both of Vicksburg, and Jimmie Jones Jr. and Timothy Dewayne Jones Sr., both of Chicago; a daughter, Lisa Jones Mabry of Vicksburg; a stepson, Jimmie Lee Jones of Charleston, S.C.; two stepdaughters, Jeanette Mullins of Grenada and Jacqueline Burson of Chicago; her mother, Hester Brown of Vicksburg; five brothers, Henry Brown Jr. of Chicago, Charlie Brown of Los Angeles, Michael Brown of Jackson and Floyd Brown and Lee Dudley Brown, both of Vicksburg; five sisters, Elnora Brown, Linda Kay Brown and Janice Brown, all of Vicksburg, Andrea Brown Jackson of Jackson and Sharolyn Faye Young of California; her grandfather, Henderson Williams Sr. of Vicksburg; 11 grandchildren; other relatives and friends including Rita Ellis and Annie B. Chiles, both of Vicksburg, Terry Mitchell of St. Paul, Minn., and members of the Williams, Anderson and Jones families.
