JAMIE AGATHA SEYMOUR
GONZALES, La. Jamie Agatha Seymour died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2001, in Baton Rouge. She was 89.
A native of Meridian, Mrs. Seymour was a former resident of Vicksburg before moving to Gonzales in the 1970s. She was a homemaker and supported various functions for St. Aloysius High School and St. Francis Xavier Academy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward M. Seymour; his son, Leo R. Seymour; her brother, Sidney Parker; and a son-in-law, Fred Opperman.
Survivors include six daughters, Laura Opperman of Gonzales; Sister Annette Seymour of New Orleans, Linda Foster of Roanoke, Va., Connie Robert of Huntsville, Ala., Janice Hess of Picayune and Martha Seymour of Aspen, Colo.; two sons, Jimmy Seymour of Vicksburg and Sidney Seymour of Baton Rouge; her sister, Irene Galeria of Rocklin, Calif.; and 25 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Catholic Church with the Revs. Thomas McGing and Joe Dilettuso officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales and from 1 p.m. until the service Friday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Victor Dardin, Steve Foster, Buddy Hess, Carl Hess, Todd Seymour, Pete Robert, Chris Opperman and Steve Foster Jr.
