MARIE BRUCE COEN

Marie Bruce Coen died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, at University Medical Center in Jackson. She was 82.

Mrs. Coen was a native of Hermanville. She had lived in Vicksburg since 1998.

She retired as postmaster of Hermanville in 1977 after 31 years of service. With her husband, she owned and operated Coen’s Grocery for 30 years. She was a member of Hermanville Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Coen.

Survivors include two brothers, Earl C. Bruce of Raymond and Milton H. Bruce of Hermanville; nieces, including Dianne Provance of Port Gibson; and nephews.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson. Burial will follow at Hermanville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 today until the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jeff DeMatteis, Mack Shelton, Tommy Provance, Ryan Provance, R.D. Wade, Robert Wade, Zack Shelton and Cline Williams.

Memorials may be made to Hermanville Methodist Church or the Hermanville Cemetery.

EUGENE DART

Eugene “Geno” Dart died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2001, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. He was 68.

Mr. Dart was retired. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Dart Sr. and Jessie Williams Dart, and three brothers, Johnny Dart, Ronnie Dart and Ardelvia Dart.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Sims; a son, Kenneth Johnson of Richmond, Calif.; four daughters, Joy Dart and Jennifer Fultz, both of Vicksburg, Gail Dart of Richmond and Betty Dart of Paramount, Calif.; a brother, Charles Dart; two sisters, Norma Jean Dart of Texas and Betty Jean Haskins of Vaca-ville, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins and other relatives.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Arthur Hicks officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

SELIA MAE CLAVELLE KEYS

Services for Selia Mae Clavelle Keys will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. James Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Keys died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2001, in Vicksburg. She was 60.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Clavelle and Mary Lee Toven; and her brother, Roy Clavelle.

Survivors include 10 sons, Michael Watson, Mark Watson, Daniel Watson and Johnny Watson, all of Dallas, and Riley Watson, Lorenzo Watson, Larry Keys, Darrolle Keys, Willie Watson and Alexander Watson, all of Garland, Texas; four daughters, Glory Regan and Linda Watson, both of Vicksburg, and Gloria Young and Mary Watson, both of Garland; her brother, Lester Clavelle Sr. of Dallas; two sisters, Julia Mae Jones of Garland and Ida Mae Eastman of Dallas; 29 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and other relatives, including members of the Clavelle, Lewis, Rader and Regan families of Vicksburg.

FLORENCE ELIZABETH OWENS

LAKE, Miss. Florence Elizabeth Owens died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 75.

Mrs. Owens was a resident of Lake. A homemaker, she was a member of Lake United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Owens of Lake; two sons, Jerry Owens and David F. Owens, both of Lake; three brothers, James Hamm of Florence and Baker Hamm and Jerry Hamm, both of Lake; and three sisters, Barbara Goodwin and Sandra Waltman, both of Lake, and Inkey Riddle of Vicksburg.

Services were at 11 a.m. today at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Forest. Burial followed at Newton County Memorial Park.
