JOHNNIE COX JR.

HERMANVILLE Johnnie Cox Jr. died Thursday, Aug. 16, at his home in Hermanville. He was 51.

Mr. Cox was preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Mae Cox; and a brother, Leroy Cox.

Survivors include a sister, Cora McCalpin of Hermanville; two stepsisters, Annie Curtis of Carlisle and Helen Marie Jones of Natchez; his stepmother, Susie B. Cox of Natchez; and other relatives.

Services were today at Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson with the Rev. Horace McBride officiating. Burial was at Jones Chapel Cemetery.

ALTONIA DAVIS JR.

Services for Altonia “Bunk” or “Skinny” Davis Jr. will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Williams Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Davis died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. He was 46.

A member of Triumph Church, he was a former employee of Anderson-Tully Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Altonia Davis Sr. and Beatrice Ross Young; and his stepfather, Ison Young.

Survivors include two sons, Eric Dewayne Davis and Chantry T. Davis, both of Vicksburg; his daughter, Paula Marie Curry of Texas; two brothers, Charles J. Ross and Tommy Lee Davis, both of Vicksburg; and four grandchildren and other relatives, including the Ross and Walker families.
