PORT GIBSON Services for Dora Mae Wilson will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Treasure Assembly of God in Russum with the Rev. Diane Banks officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Peter’s Cemetery in Pattison.

Visitation will be Friday, from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. with family hour from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Port Gibson, and Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of service at the church.

Mrs. Wilson died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001, at Claiborne County Hospital. She was 68.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Baptist Church.

Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by four brothers, Willie James Truitt, Robert Lee Truitt, Shelby Truitt, and Bennie Truitt; a sister, Flora Lee Brown; and a granddaughter.

She is survived by four sons, Julius Truitt, Randy Truitt and Willie Truitt, all of Jackson, and Shelby Truitt of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three daughters, Dorine Truitt and Sheeka Truitt, both of Port Gibson, and Jacqueline Wilkerson of Jackson; one brother, Jessie Truitt of Port Gibson; four sisters, Diane Banks of Vicksburg, Charlotte Truitt of Port Gibson, and Josephine Smith and Rosie Edwards, both of Midwest City, Okla.; 23 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.

EVELENA ZANDERS

Services for Evelena Zanders will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul M.B. Church with the Rev. Tyrone Dixon officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until the service at the church.

Mrs. Zanders died Monday, Aug. 27, 2001, at Belhaven Nursing Home in Jackson. She was 107.

A homemaker, Mrs. Zanders was a member of St. Paul M.B. Church in Bovina.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dorsey Zanders; two daughters, Fannie Jones and Bertha Sanders; her parents, Doc and Fannie Baker; and a grandchild, Henry Mitchell.

She is survived by a son, Henry Winchester of Oakland, Calif.; a niece, Josie Meeks of Vicksburg; seven grandchildren, Otha V. Jones of Vicksburg, Hoskin Sanders of Newnan, Ga., Betty Harper and Sandra Jones, both of Jackson, and Doris Byrd, Ethel Jones and Alan K. Jones, all of Indianapolis; cousins and other relatives, including members of the Meeks family of Vicksburg.
