CHARLIE JOE GREEN

Charlie Joe Green died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. He was 56.

Mr. Green was born in Warren County and served as an evangelist at St. Luke Church of God in Christ.

Mr. Green was preceded in death by his father, Milton Green; his maternal grandparents, Bertha Duncan and Arthha Evans; his paternal grandparents, Beatrice and George Green; and his stepfather, Albert Green.

Mr. Green is survived by his wife, Connie Green of Grand Rapids, Mich.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

ROSE ANNA RUSSELL

Rose Anna Russell died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, at Vicksburg Medical Center. She was 87.

Mrs. Russell was a native of Newellton and had lived in Vicksburg for most of her life.

Mrs. Russell was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Albert and Edna Ruth Manus Williams; five brothers; and three sisters.

Mrs. Russell is survived by a son, Wayne A. Russell of Vicksburg; a grandson, Kenneth Russell of Vicksburg; a granddaughter, Marcia Russell of Union; two great-granddaughters, Danielle Shelley of Union and Zoe Russell of Vicksburg; and other nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Eric Thomas officiating.

Visitation will from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service at Fisher Riles Funeral Home.

LEROY WHITE SR.

Leroy “Bouncie” White Sr. died Friday, Sept. 21, 2001, at his home in Vicksburg. He was 78.

Mr. White was a native of Salisbury, Miss., and had lived in Vicksburg since 1950.

He was a self-employed mechanic for 20 years and was a member of King David M.B. Church.

Mr. White was preceded in death by a son, Henry Martin; his parents, Robert and Rosie White Sr.; and two brothers, Robert White Jr. and Henry White.

Mr. White is survived by his wife, Eddie Mary Olivia White of Vicksburg; six sons, Tommy Martin of Vicksburg, Robert White of Lyons, Ill., Edward Myles of Birmingham, Ala., Leroy White Jr. of Knobnoster, Mo., William White of Surprise, Ariz., and David White of El Paso, Texas; nine daughters, Bertha Myles Brown, Alice Scott, Doris Bolden, Rebecca Young, Olivia White, Rita Huell and Sheila Dillamar all of Vicksburg, Rosie Elder of Waukegan, Ill., and Pamela King of Columbus, Ga.; two brothers, Freddie Todd of Fayetteville, N.C., and Leonard Todd of Omaha, Neb.; a sister, Rebecca Russell of Garfield Heights, Ohio; 37 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Robbins Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
