TOMMY FREEMAN

Services for Tommy Freeman will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Freeman died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001, at ParkView Regional Medical Center as the result of a motor vehicle accident. He was 48.

Mr. Freeman was employed at Cooper Lighting and was a member of Resolution Local No. 1873. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ned and Georgia Washington Freeman, and a brother, Ervin Freeman.

Survivors include his wife, Vernesser Walker Freeman; three sons, Aaron Walker, Tommy Rashone Freeman and Tommy Bester, all of Vicksburg; two daughters, Debra Ann Walker of Long Beach, Calif., and Chiquita Lyons of Vicksburg; four brothers, George Freeman, Walter Freeman, Glenn Allen Freeman and Wayne N. Freeman, all of Vicksburg; three sisters, Dorothy Dee, Velma Williams and Mary Jo Freeman, all of Vicksburg; six grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins and other relatives.

LUCILLE M. THOMAS

Services for Lucille M. Thomas will be at 2 p.m. Friday at New Mount Pilgrim M.B. Church with the Rev. Allen Nicholson Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Thomas died Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2001, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. She was 82.

A homemaker, Mrs. Thomas was born in Pelahatchie, La. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Thomas; her parents, Allen and Betty Lewis Morrow; three brothers, Alex Morrow, l.G. Morrow and Rubin Morrow; and four sisters, Julia Johnson, Bernice King, Annie Collins and Veola Foster.

She is survived by a daughter, Willie B. Funches of Artesia, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Beulah M. Thomas of Vicksburg; 21 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives, including Allen Nicholson Sr., Beatrice Collins, Allen L. Nicholson Jr., Katina Collins and members of the Bingham and Davis families of Vicksburg.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

LEROY WHITE SR.

Services for Leroy “Bouncie” White Sr. will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Spring Hill Church with Pamela White King and the Rev. B.B. Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be all day Friday in the Robbins Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. White died Friday, Sept. 21, 2001 at his home. He was 78.

Mr. White was a native of Egremont, Miss., but had lived in Vicksburg since 1950. He was a self-employed mechanic for 20 years and was a member of King David M.B. Church in LeTourneau.

Mr. White was preceded in death by a son, Henry Martin; his parents, Robert White Sr. and Rosie White; and two brothers, Robert White Jr. and Henry White.

He is survived by his wife, Eddie Mary Olivia White of Vicksburg; six sons, Tommy Martin of Vicksburg, Robert White of Lyons, Ill., Edward Myles of Birmingham, Ala., Leroy White Jr. of Knobnoster, Mo., William White of Surprise, Ariz. and Davis White of El Paso, Texas; nine daughters, Bertha Myles Brown, Alice Scott, Doris Bolden, Rebecca Young, Olevia White, Rita Huell and Sheila Dillamar, all of Vicksburg, Rosie Elder of Waukegan, Ill. and Pamela King of Columbus, Ga.; two brothers, Freddie Todd of Fayetteville, N.C. and Leonard Todd of Omaha, Neb.; a sister, Rebecca Russell of Garfield Heights, Ohio; 37 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and other relatives.
