MARY BELL ESTER

Services for Mary Bell Ester will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Travelers M.B. Church with the Rev. Alfred Lassiter Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Ester died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2001, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. She was 79.

Mrs. Ester was a homemaker. She was a member of Zion Travelers M.B. Church where she was a member of the senior choir.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ester Sr.; her parents, Willie Draper and Alberta Williams Draper; and three brothers, Jessie Draper, Willie Edward Draper and Thomas W. Draper.

Survivors include a son, Robert Ester Jr. of Gulfport; a brother, Sidney T. Draper of Chicago; three sisters, Betty Jackson, Lillie Holmet and Minnie Lindsey, all of Vicksburg; one granddaughter and one great-grandson.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

CHARLES VAN HOOSER

Charles Van Hooser died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2001, at his home. He was 77.

Mr. Van Hooser was born in Neshoba County and had lived in Vicksburg for more than 50 years. He owned and operated Van Hooser Barber Shop. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wives, Mary Frances Van Hooser and Othe Thomas Van Hooser.

Survivors include a stepson, Larry Meadows of Vicksburg; a stepdaughter, Nancy Richardson of Vicksburg; and one sister, Robbie Welch of Philadelphia.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Glenwood Funeral Home with Dr. John G. McCall and Eric Thomas officiating.
