SARAH BLESH BOWER

Sarah “Sally” Blesh Bower died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2001, at Heritage House Nursing Home. She was 90.

Mrs. Bower was a native of Benezette, Pa. She lived in Vicksburg for the past 55 years. She was a homemaker and an accomplished pianist and organist. She was a member of Hawkins United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Irvin Bower; two sisters, Georgia Dorman and Billie Marshall; and her grandson, Lee Bower.

Survivors include three sons, Robert C. Bower of Milwaukee, Wis., William B. Bower of Clinton and James R. Bower of Vicksburg; two daughters, Sally Bower Reeves of Dallas, Texas, and Janice Bower Arnold of South Hill, Va.; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Green Acres Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will follow the service at the family home.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Arnold, Eric Truebel, Blake Brickhouse and Kevin Bower.
