FIRE PREVENTION WEEK 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Wal-Mart SuperCenter; children can meet “Sparky” and see the fire trucks from the Vicksburg Fire Department.

LEVI’S – “A GATHERING PLACE” 7-11 p.m. Friday and 7-10 p.m. Saturday; coffee, fountain drinks, sweets, gameroom with pool table and more; no cover charge; music provided Saturday by Southwinds.

VICKSBURG ART ASSOCIATION 21st annual Mississippi artist exhibition; call for entries; registration, 2-4 p.m. Saturday and 4-6:30 p.m. Monday, Constitution Firehouse Gallery; entry fees are $10 for members and $25 for non-members; must be 18 years old; must be a member of the Vicksburg Art Association or a resident of Mississippi; exhibit will be Oct. 20-24; all entries must be available for sale; prizes will be awarded for best in show; 634-8756 or 638-9221.
