McMILLON

JACKSON Eva Belle McMillon died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001, at Compere’s Nursing Home in Jackson. She was 93.

Mrs. McMillon was a native of Claiborne County and had lived in Jackson most of her life.

She is survived by her brother, Shelby Curtis of Utica.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Utica with the Rev. Rusty Byrd officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Isaac Cemetery in Kosciusko.

JERRY DANIEL McNEAL

PORT GIBSON Jerry Daniel McNeal died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, at Vicksburg Medical Center. He was 88.

Mr. McNeal is survived by a son, Calvin McNeal of Port Gibson; a daughter, Lillie McNeal of Port Gibson; four grandchildren, Carolyn McNeal of San Francisco, Gwendolyn Ann Clark of Natchez, Eric McNeal of Dallas and Nikiya Grisby of Port Gibson; nine great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends, including Willie Johnson and Alma Carpenter, both of Port Gibson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul M.B. Church in Pattison with Dr. H.L. Parker officiating. Burial will follow at East Mount Olive Cemetery in Red Lick.

Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson and from 1 p.m. Saturday until the service at the church.

ELNORA HAMLIN TUCKENBERRY

SAGINAW, Mich. Elnora Hamlin Tuckenberry, formerly of Vicksburg, died Friday, Oct. 5, 2001, at her home in Saginaw, Mich. She was 82.

Mrs. Tuckenberry was born in Mound Bayou. A licensed beautician, she retired as owner and operator from Modernistic Beauty Salon in Chicago. She was a member of Truevine Baptist Church in Chicago.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mance Tuckenberry Sr.; one daughter, Bobbie Jean Johnson; two brothers, Frank Hamlin and Randolph Hamlin; two sisters, Rosie Lee Green and Beatrice Jefferson; and her parents, Lark and Emma Smith Hamlin.

Survivors include one son, Mance Tuckenberry Jr. of Chicago; five daughters, Florine Tuckenberry-Williams of Saginaw, Celestine Fuller of Vicksburg, Rose Tuckenberry of Chicago, Geraldine Smith of Atlanta and Mildred Boston; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and other relatives, including Melvin Wiggins and Tommie Green Jr., both of Vicksburg.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Robert L. Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

SUSIE B. WARNER

PORT GIBSON Susie B. Warner died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2001, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was 85.

Mrs. Warner was a member of Christian Chapel Church of Port Gibson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C.B. Warner; her parents, Henry Claiborne and Mima Winn-Claiborne; a daughter, Myrtle Warner James; and two grandchildren, Deborah Cooley and Darrell Warner.

She is survived by two sons, Julius Earl Warner of Port Gibson and Henry Warner of Dallas; a brother, Lawrence Claiborne of Memphis; two sisters, Ophelia Parker of Baton Rouge and Edie Mae Claiborne of Memphis; 10 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; friends and other relatives, including Emma Ruth Warner and Myrtle Faye Warner.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Christian Chapel Church with Elder T.E. Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Christian Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson and from 1 p.m. Saturday until the service at the church.
