SCOTT WILLIAM MURRAY

BRANDON Services for Scott William Murray will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Kent Campbell, pastor of Woodlawn Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Murray died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was 27.

Born in Hazlehurst, he was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg until four years ago when he moved to Brandon. He was a graduate of Warren Central High School. He was self-employed as a Snap-On Tool dealer for the past four years. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his parents, Shelby Dean and Peggy Ann Murray of Vicksburg; two brothers, Shelby Dean Murray Jr. of Hattiesburg and Christopher Murray of Vicksburg; and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be William James Zaremba, Jay Jabour, Corey Kindhart, Jimmie Lee Murray, John Sibley, Paul Hebert, Scott Newman and Christopher Gilmer.

Honorary pallbearers will be David Purvis, Clyde McKenzie, Shelby D. Murray Jr., Christopher Murray and Glen Cussack Jr.

JOHN ANDREW NOLAN

TALLULAH Services for John Andrew Nolan were Monday at First Baptist Church of Tallulah with the Rev. John Rushing officiating. Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.

Mr. Nolan died Friday, Oct. 26, 2001, at Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah. He was 52.

He was born and reared in Tallulah, where he worked as a shipping manager for API. He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra J. Nolan of Tallulah; two sons, Andrew Kenneth Nolan and Justin Allen Wilson, both of Tallulah; one daughter, Emily Elizabeth Nolan of Stewart, Fla.; his mother, Ramona Nolan Scott of Tallulah; one brother, Ramon Nolan of Richland, Miss.; three sisters, Mona Hodnett of Vicksburg, Susan Keyes of Tallulah and Sandi Watkins of Tallulah.

Pallbearers were Randy Ramshur, Robbie Watkins, Edgar Keyes, Michael Mobley, Tony Hodnett and Craig Clark.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rich Ramshur, Randy Godwin and Paul Meeks.

JASPER SMITH

Jasper “Dee” Smith died Monday, Oct. 29, 2001, at his home. He was 73.

Mr. Smith was a retired truck driver for Falco Lime. He was a member of Rock of Ages M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Leona Larkins Smith of Vicksburg; three daughters, Irene Turner, Betty Pierce and Keisha Smith, all of Vicksburg; four stepdaughters; and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

DONNA CASSINO VINSON

Donna Cassino Vinson died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at her home. She was 55.

A native and lifelong resident of Vicksburg, Mrs. Vinson was the daughter of the late Frank John and Ruby Pearl Husbands Cassino. She was a graduate of St. Francis Xavier Academy and the Mississippi University for Women. She was a lifelong supporter of Mississippi State University. She had been employed with the Mississippi Employment Security Commission and worked at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station for several years. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.

She is survived by two sisters, Sherrie McCaffrey of Vicksburg and Tina Henson of Starkville; her brother, Frank Cassino Jr. of Panama City, Fla.; two nieces, Christy Lewis of Vicksburg and Kelley Fuller of Panama City; and five nephews, Howard Lewis Jr. and Kelly McCaffrey, both of Vicksburg, Michael Henson of Starkville, Brian Cassino of Cordova, Tenn., and Chris Fuller of Monroe.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be said at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas McGing officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight with wake service at 7:30 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Brian Cassino, Chris Fuller, Kelly McCaffrey, Johnny Price, Howard Lewis Jr., D.C. Parker and Michael Henson.

JOHN W. WHITE

LOVELAND, Colo. John W. White died Monday, Oct. 22, 2001, at McKee Medical Center in Loveland, Colo. He was 66.

Born in Mount Olive, Mr. White was a former resident of Vicksburg. He was employed with Byrd’s Trucking in Vicksburg and moved to Loveland in 1978. He served in the U.S. Army for 21 years including the Vietnam era. He was employed with Woodward Governor for 13 years before retiring in 1992. He also worked as a security guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, W.H. “Red” White and Fannie White.

He is survived by his wife, Victoria L. White of Loveland; two sons, Edwin White of Fort Collins, Colo., and David White of Grass Valley, Calif.; two daughters, Kim Bradley and Janet Bryant, both of Loveland; three brothers, Bobby White of Edwards and Billy White and Robert White, both of Vicksburg; six sisters, Irene Jones, Lois Holdiness, Agnes Thompson, Faye Willis, Carolyn Hearn and Ellean Lowery, all of Vicksburg; and seven grandchildren and other relatives.

Memorial services were Oct. 25 in Loveland under the direction of Allnutt-Hunter Funeral Home of Loveland.
