FIGHTING THE FLU

Flu shots are available without an appointment at the health department, 807 Monroe St., Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Flu season in the United States is from November through April of each year. Protection develops about two weeks after getting the shot and may last up to a year. The shots are $10 each.(The Vicksburg Post/MELANIE DUNCAN)
