RUBY DAVIS
PORT GIBSON Ruby Davis died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2001, at University Medical Center in Jackson. She was 61.
Mrs. Davis was a member of Ashland M.B. Church where she sang in the choir and was on the mother board.
Survivors include four brothers, Jordan Davis Jr., Peter Davis, Walter Davis and George Young, all of Port Gibson; three sisters, Ethel Watson of Port Gibson, Josephine Adams of Henderson, N.C., and Jennie Davis of Jackson; and other relatives.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Ashland M.B. Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. James Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. today at Thompson Funeral Home in Port Gibson and from noon until the service Thursday at the funeral home.
VICTOR EARL ROBINSON
URBANA, Ill. Victor Earl Robinson died Monday, Oct. 29, 2001, at BroMenn Regional Medical Center in Normal, Ill. He was 52.
A former resident of Edwards, Mr. Robinson lived in Urbana, Ill. He was a member of Friendship M.B. Church in Edwards.
He is survived by his parents, Oscar B. Robinson and Gladys Coleman Robinson; his daughter, Sharrell Moffit of Rantoul, Ill.; his brother, Oscar B. Robinson Jr. of Chicago; one granddaughter and other relatives including Louise Miller, Mary Lee Miller, Bessie Walton and the Brown and Franklin families, all of Vicksburg and Nerissa Smith of Edwards.
Services were Nov. 3 at Macedonia M.B. Church in Urbana. Burial was at Lincoln Memorial Gardens in Urbana.
