GLENN ALLEN FREEMAN

Glenn Allen Freeman died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, at his home. He was 38.

A truck driver, Mr. Freeman was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ned and Georgia Washington Freeman; two brothers, Tommy Freeman and Irving Freeman; his maternal grandparents, George and Fannie Washington; and his paternal grandparents, Henry and Ollie Freeman.

Survivors include one son, Keon Hatchett of Vicksburg; one daughter, Tashiba Hatchett of Vicksburg; three brothers, George Freeman, Walter Freeman and Wayne Freeman, all of Vicksburg; three sisters, Dorothy Jean Dee, Velma Williams and Mary Jo Freeman, all of Vicksburg; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

GLENN MARSHALL HALL

Glenn Marshall Hall died Friday, Nov. 16, 2001, at his home. He was 27.

Mr. Hall was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg.

He is survived by his father, Billy Hall of Vicksburg; his mother, Ruby Phelps of Vicksburg; one brother, John Hall of Winnfield, La.; and a sister, Sandra Hall of Tallahassee, Fla.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Glenwood Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Walter Day, Robert Collins, Red Hedrick, Junior Hedrick and David Logue.

RUTH COTTINGHAM LAND

WINONA Ruth Cottingham Land died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, at her home in Winona. She was 78.

Mrs. Land was a farmer and homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Winona, Three A Circle and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W.B. and Sallie Cottingham; and her husband, Sandy K. Land.

She is survived by five daughters, Shirley Oliver and Sandra Evans, both of Winona, Donna Markle of Vicksburg, Wanda Land of Jackson and Phyllis Land Usher of Indianapolis, Ind.; three sisters, Agnes Heath of Winona, Sara Williams of Raymond and Marilyn Mahaffey of Lipscomb, Ala.; one brother, Kenneth Cottingham of Grenada; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Winona with the Revs. John L. Walker and T.R. Darsey officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Winona.

Visitation will be from 4 until 8 tonight at Oliver Funeral Home of Winona.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and sons-in-law.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Winona Radio Ministry.

TOM PALMER JR.

Tom Palmer Jr. died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001, in Chicago. He was 73.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Estella and Tom Palmer Sr.; one brother, Farrell Thomas Palmer; and two sisters, Daisy Palmer Jefferson and Betty Palmer Williams.

He is survived by a brother, William Palmer of Vicksburg; one sister, Laura Palmer Taylor of Vicksburg; one nephew, James Jefferson Jr. of Vicksburg; two nieces, Monica Taylor Shorter and L’Tannya Taylor Young of Vicksburg; and other relatives.
