BILLY JOE CURRY

Billy Joe Curry died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, as the result of an automobile accident. He was 30.

Mr. Curry was employed with Hills Janitorial Service and was a member of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby Lee and Curley Phillips Curry; his maternal grandparents, Daniel and Mae Ella Phillips, and his paternal grandparents, James Curry and Otlia Graham.

He is survived by his fiance, Tomekia Franklin of Vicksburg; two sons, Kenneth Curry and Biljoree Curry, both of Vicksburg; nine brothers, Jimmie Smith, James Curry and Ruby Lee Curry Jr., all of El Paso, Texas, Tommy Lee Smith, Willie Curry, Robert Curry, Walter Curry and Clyde Curry, all of Vicksburg, and Johnny B. Curry of Fort Hood, Texas; seven sisters, Ida Curry and Fannie Curry, both of Miami, Patricia Arrington, Rosa Curry, Linda Curry, Louise Curry and Angenett Johnson, all of Vicksburg.

W. H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

SHERRY M. BARNES

Sherry M. Barnes died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at her home in Vicksburg. She was 53.

Ms. Barnes was a retired school teacher and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Nathaniel Barnes Sr., and a brother, Nathaniel Barnes Jr.

She is survived by a son, Dario Lawrence of Vicksburg; a daughter, Anika Nicole Cummings of Vicksburg; her mother, Lubertha Burnett Barnes of Vicksburg; three sisters, Leona Barnes Stringer and Bertha J. Barnes, both of Vicksburg, and Malinda Barnes Maston of Killeen, Texas; three brothers, John R. Barnes of Vicksburg, Bobby Barnes of Silver Springs, Md., and Henry R. Barnes of Washington, D.C.; and other relatives.

Robbins Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

LEAH FINDLEY

TERRY Leah Findley died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. She was 83.

Mrs. Findley was born in Carriere, Miss., and was a graduate of Hattiesburg High School. She had been a resident of Terry since 1979 and was a member of First Baptist Church of Terry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.H. Findley Sr., and a son, W.H. Findley Jr.

She is survived by four daughters, Carolyn Rouse of Vicksburg, Sue Searcy of Fulton, Linda Byers of Terry and Martha Hauptman of Jackson; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Wright & Ferguson High Street Chapel. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. today and at 11 a.m. Monday at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Terry.

SARAH MOORE

Sarah Moore died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, near her home in Vicksburg as the result of an accidental drowning. She was 5.

Sarah attended kindergarten at Warrenton Elementary School and attended New Vision Family Worship Center.

She is survived by her parents, Jerry and Chandra Moore of Vicksburg; two brothers, Noah Jerry Moore and Jonah Robert Moore, both of Vicksburg; maternal gradparents, Debbie Sattelberg of Locust Grove, Okla., and William and Andrea Brown of San Diego, Calif.; maternal great-grandmother, Eula Brown of San Diego; paternal grandparents, Otto and Linda Moore of Vicksburg, and paternal great-grandmother, Irene Lewis of Forest, Miss.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at New Vision Family Worship Center with the Rev. Rick McAllister officiating. Burial will follow in Tulsa, Okla.

Visitation will be from 2 until 4 p.m. today at Glenwood Funeral Home.
