MAGGIE LOIS RANDOLPH CHISLEY

Maggie Lois Randolph Chisley died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. She was 92.

Mrs. Chisley retired as a licensed practical nurse from ParkView Regional Medical Center and Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was a member of Sacred Palm Leaf Chapter No. 84, Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of Mount Calvary M.B. Church where she was church secretary and a member of the senior choir for several years.

Survivors include two sons, Charles A. Chisley and Larry A. Chisley, both of Vicksburg; and eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and other relatives, including Margot V. Baker of Vicksburg.

Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

LEROY KIMBLE SR.

Services for Leroy “Bubba” Kimble Sr. will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Zion M.B. Church with the Rev. Larry Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Mr. Kimble died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. He was 69.

A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was employed with the City of Vicksburg Water Department and retired from Bunge Corporation.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Leroy Kimble Jr. and Jerry Kimble; his parents, James Kimble and Elizabeth Miller.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Kimble of Vicksburg; two sons, Michael A. Kimble Sr. of Fort Knox, Ky., and Troy Kimble of Jackson; four daughters, Mary L. Stephens of Longview, Texas, Debbie D. Anderson of Athens, Ga., and Geraldine Kimble and Elizabeth Kimble, both of Vicksburg, three sisters, Katie Kimble of Jackson, Jimmie Burrell of Oakland, Calif., and Marie Phelps of Vicksburg; three stepbrothers; five stepsisters; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

FRANCES JUANITA PEARSON

Frances Juanita Pearson died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. She was 62.

A native and lifelong resident of Vicksburg, Mrs. Pearson was the daughter of the late Louis Jefferson and Frances G. Redditt Martin. She had worked for Gee and Strickland for six months and was a city clerk for the Village of Delta, La., for 11 years. She had also worked with the Mississippi Forestry Commission as a radio dispatcher for four years. She was a member of the Church of Christ on Oak Ridge Road.

She is survived by three sons, Jerrel Cooper, Raymond Joyner and William Pearson, all of Vicksburg; two grandsons, Travis Ray Joyner and Cody Louis Pearson, both of Vicksburg.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Hall Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Caldwell, pastor of Restoration Church, officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Fisher-Riles Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Davey Barnette, Howard Austin, Bryan Pezan, Tommy Hutto, Larry Hutchison, Douglas Hearn, Hugh Logue and Jack Pace.

HILTON S. RUTLEDGE

HARPERVILLE Hilton S. Rutledge died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2001, at Raleigh Community Hospital. He was 66.

A native and lifelong resident of the Harperville community in Scott County, Mr. Rutledge was a member of the Harperville United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Massey Rutledge of Harperville; his daughter, Janey Rutledge Stevens of Vicksburg; his son, Randy Savell Rutledge of Harperville; his mother, Joyce Rutledge of Florence; a sister, Peggy Sistrunk of Brandon; and three grandchildren and other relatives.

Services were Dec. 29 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest with the Revs. Tim Sisk and Jimmy Lynn Chesnut officiating. Burial was at Harperville Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers were David Sistrunk, Mark Sistrunk, Bobby Windham, Doyle Sistrunk, Craig Puckett and Keith Gunn.
