JULIUS CLARK JR.

Services for Julius Clark Jr. will be at 1 p.m. today at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at New Zion Cemetery.

Mr. Clark died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2002, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. He was 75.

He was a retired custodian for Greenville public schools. He was a graduate of Louisiana Trade School class of 1950. He was a member of Lake Reit No. 202 F&AM Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius Clark Sr. and Georgia Ann Green.

Survivors include his son, Spencer Scott of Compton, Calif.; his sister, Ethel Elmore of Vicksburg; three grandchildren; and other relatives.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

ANDREW MARTIN RATCLIFFE JR.

GLOSTER Andrew Martin Ratcliffe Jr. died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He was 66.

Born in Ferriday, La., Mr. Ratcliffe was the son of the late Polly Brooks Ratcliffe and A.M. Ratcliffe Sr. He was reared in Natchez and had lived in Gloster for many years.

Mr. Ratcliffe, a retired logger, was a graduate of Mississippi State University. He was a member of Galilee First Baptist Church in Gloster.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a wife, Mary Carter Ogden Ratcliffe, and a sister, Arundel Ratcliffe.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Bateman Ratcliffe of Gloster; three daughters, Mary Ratcliffe Styles of Atlanta, Catherine Ratcliffe Justilian of Katy, Texas, and Virginia “Ginny” Ratcliffe Miller of Vicksburg; a son, Andrew Martin Ratcliffe III of Gulfport; a sister, Carolyn Ratcliffe of New York, N.Y.; three grandchildren, Mary Catherine Miller of Vicksburg, and Andrew and Jack Justilian of Katy; and other relatives.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home in Gloster. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery.

MAGGIE LOIS RANDOLPH CHISLEY

Services for Maggie Lois Randolph Chisley will be at 6 p.m. Monday at Mt. Calvary M.B. Church. Visitation will be at the church from 4 until the service. A private burial will be Tuesday.

Mrs. Chisley died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. She was 92.

Mrs. Chisley retired as a licensed practical nurse from ParkView Regional Medical Center and Shady Lawn Nursing Home. She was a member of Sacred Palm Leaf Chapter No. 84, Order of Eastern Star. She was a member of Mount Calvary M.B. Church where she was church secretary and a member of the senior choir for several years.

Survivors include two sons, Charles A. Chisley and Larry A. Chisley, both of Vicksburg; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and other relatives, including Margot V. Baker of Vicksburg.

Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
