MARY LOU HELEN TOMMIE DELL ANDERSON

CHICAGO Mary Lou Helen Tommie Dell Anderson died Friday, Jan. 11, 2002, at her home in Chicago. She was 66.

Mrs. Anderson attended Magee High School. She was employed at the Sanitorium Hospital before moving to Chicago. She was a member of New Home Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Anderson; her father, M.A. Johnson Sr.; a daughter, Deborah Ann Anderson; a son, Jerry Anderson; two sisters, Virdie Gordan and Mary Johnson; two brothers, John Arthur and May Arthur.

She is survived by her mother, Isabell Johnson of Mendenhall; five daughters, Sheila Benard of Vicksburg, Carolyn Anderson and Penny Anderson, both of Chicago, Lula Lee of Indiana and Toni Anderson of Las Vegas; two sons, Benjamin Anderson of Vicksburg and David Anderson of Chicago.; a sister, Ann Payne of Villa Park; five brothers, John Johnson and E.L. Johnson, both of Chicago, Herman Johnson and Harry C. Johnson, both of Magee, and Ardis Johnson of Flint, Mich.; 34 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

Services were Saturday at New Home Baptist Church in Chicago with the Rev. Mack McCollum officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Unique Funeral Home of Chicago.

VINEY PINKNEY JACKSON

UTICA Services for Viney Pinkney Jackson will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Belmont M.B. Church. Burial will follow at Zion Travelers M.B. Church Cemetery in Utica under the direction of Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jackson died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002, at University Medical Center. She was 59.

A resident of Utica, she was a member of Zion Travelers M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Jackson Sr.; and her daughter, Viney Ann Jackson.

She is survived by four sons, Bobby Joe Pinkney of Sunflower County and Walter Jackson Jr., David Lee Jackson and Steven Lee Jackson, all of Utica; a brother, Robert Pinkney of Vicksburg; two sisters, Alice Marie Curtis of Jackson and Annie Marie Pinkney of Vicksburg; 12 grandchildren; and other relatives.

YOLAND JENNINGS

GLEN ALLAN Yoland Jennings died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Rolling Fork. She was 99.

Mrs. Jennings was a Warren County native and had lived in Glen Allan most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rolling Fork.

She was preceded in death by a son, J. Dewayne Jennings, and two daughters, Juanita Nichols and Lorene Gallagher.

Survivors include a son, W.R. “Billy” Jennings of Greenville; two daughters, Lucille Uzzle of Glen Allan and Jeanette Weeks of Jonesboro, La.; and 29 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Rolling Fork with the Revs. Reese Kyzar and Millard L. Caulder officiating. Burial will follow at Greenfield Cemetery in Glen Allan.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

REV. EDDIE LANE

The Rev. Eddie Lane died Monday, Jan. 21, 2002, at ParkView Regional Medical Center. He was 65.

Rev. Lane was a retired employee of Mississippi Power & Light. He was the pastor of St. Paul Baptist Church of Edwards and a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pallee Lane and Leroy Lane Sr.; his brother, Henry Lane; and four sisters, May Ester Gattin, Margaree Gordon, Virgil Ware and Pallee Leggett.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys Lane; two daughters, Joyce Ann Allen of Vicksburg and Eddie Allen of Mableton, Ga.; two brothers, Joseph Lane of Mayersville and Leroy Lane Jr., of Riviera Beach, Fla.; three sisters, Roberta Lane of Rolling Fork and Rosie Lee Richardson and Flora B. Gibson, both of Anguilla; five grandchildren; and other relatives.

Williams Funeral Service has charge of the arrangements.

MARY LOU RANKIN

FAYETTE Mary Lou Rankin died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002, at her home in Fayette. She was 67.

A native of Red Lick, Mrs. Rankin was a self-employed seamstress. She was a member and mother at Pine Grove United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Gibbs Sr. and Martha Harris, five children and two sisters.

She is survived by three sons, Glenn Rankin of Hermanville, Maurice Rankin of Jackson and Mikel Rankin of Tillman; a stepson, John Henry Rankin Jr. of Pattison; eight daughters, Sherry McDonald, Brenda Rankin, Wylanda Gales, U’landa Danzy and Taneka Rankin, all of Fayette, Joyce Williams of Harriston, Ruby Rankin of DeKalb and Carolyn Rankin of Channelview, Texas; one brother, James Gibbs Jr. of Chicago; and 33 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, friends and other relatives, including Alexzeeus Rankin, Mary Wilson and Tommie Wilson, all of Fayette, Ambreya Noble of Gulfport, Anzari Rankin of Dekalb, Charles Balwin of Hattiesburg and Robert Burnett of Bluehill.

Services will be at noon Saturday at Jefferson County High School auditorium in Fayette with the Rev. F.L. Pendleton officiating. Burial will follow at East Mount Olive Cemetery in Red Lick.

Visitation will be from 2 until 7 p.m. Friday at Rollins Chapel in Fayette.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Wilson, Tyrone Miller, Undrea Banks, Ivory Rankin, Eddie Rankin Jr. and Earl Ellis.
