BOBBY EUGENE CLARK

TALLULAH Bobby Eugene Clark died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, at Madison Parish Hospital. He was 44.

Mr. Clark worked as a manager at McDonald’s and was a member of Waverly Baptist Church.

He is survived by his parents, Melvin and Geneva Clark of Tallulah; a brother, William A. Clark of Tchula; a sister, Linda C. Herman of Harrisonburg, La.; and other relatives.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Waverly Baptist Church with the Rev. Lindle Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Chris Herman, Barry Russell, Michael Clark, Jeffrey Herman, John Laird, Chris Beam and Bobby W. Eubanks.

LORENE DONHAM KELLY

NEWELLTON Lorene Donham Kelly died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at Tensas Parish Nursing Home in Newellton. She was 83.

Mrs. Kelly worked for a number of years as a nurse’s aide and was a member of Flowers Landing Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Kelly, and a son, Bobby Dan “Bob” Kelly.

Survivors include a son, Jerry Kelly of Vicksburg; a daughter, Maurene Parker of Newellton; four sisters, Jimmie Mayo of West Monroe, Ernestine Fountain of Marksville, Jo Mehaffey of San Antonio, Texas, and Mary McDaniel of St. Joseph; two brothers, Carl Donham and Ronnie Donham, both of Tallulah; and eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Newellton with the Revs. Howard Smith, Brian Ivey and Fulton McGraw officiating. Burial will follow at Legion Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from noon today until the service at the church.

Grandsons will be pallbearers.

WILLARD O. MEADOWS

GREENVILLE Willard O. Meadows died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville. He was 83.

Mr. Meadows was reared and educated in Magee and had lived in Greenville since 1957. He retired as a route salesman for Grenada Farms Milk after 26 years of service. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, O.C. Meadows and Nettie Sellers Meadows; one son, Willard O. Meadows Jr.; one daughter, Louise Meadows Langford; two brothers, J.P. Meadows and Millard Meadows; and a wife, Willie Merle Meadows.

Survivors include his wife, Mavis Meadows of Greenville; three sons, Arthur L. Meadows of Lucedale, Charles Meadows of Greenville and Wilson Meadows of Vicksburg; three stepsons, Jimmy Baldwin of Detroit, Jerry Baldwin of Roy, Utah, and Johnny Baldwin of Caspin, Mich.; three daughters, Betty Jean Upton of Vicksburg, Beatrice Pitts of Laurel and Elaine Neely of Brandon; two stepdaughters, Pat Heranney of Greenville and Phyllis Evans of Churchill, Tenn.; two sisters, Katie Kemp of Leland and Pauline Benton of Newport News, Va.; and 30 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Smith Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. Rip Noble officiating. Burial will follow at Greenville Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

EDDIE SCOTT

Services for Eddie “Papa” Scott will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve happley officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Scott died Friday, Feb. 8, 2002, at his home. He was 76.

Mr. Scott was a retired cafe owner and operator. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his son, John Perkins of Vicksburg; two daughters, Anna Perkins and Viola Perkins, both of Vicksburg; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
