HARRY L. CHAPMAN

GERMANTOWN, Tenn. Harry L. Chapman died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at Baptist Hospital in Memphis. He was 66.

Mr. Chapman was a former disc jockey and a Realtor with Marx and Bensdorf for 20 years. He was one of the founders of “Street Tiques” of Memphis. He was founding president of the Mensa Chapter and a member of the Model Railroad Association, Casey Jones Chapter.

He is survived by his wife, Ramone Reese Chapman; his daughter, Yvonne Katherine Chapman of Seattle, Wash.; two sons, Russell Allan Chapman of St. Charles, Mo., and Harry Forester Chapman of Memphis; his sister, Barbara Dallmus of Vicksburg; his brother, Al Chapman of Albuquerque, N.M.; and five grandsons.

Private services will be at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park South Woods

Memorials may be made to the Memphis Humane Society, 180 Rowlett Ave., Collierville, Tenn. 38017; or the Germantown Humane Shelter.

PEGGY BLANCHE LOGUE

LAFAYETTE, La. Peggy Blanche Logue died Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, in Lafayette. She was 65.

Born in Vicksburg, Mrs. Logue was a graduate of Culkin Academy.

She is survived by two daughters, Tanis Sewell of Lake Charles, La., and Teri Williford of Lafayette; her sister, Elizabeth Campbell of Lafayette; and a brother, Robert Friley of Vicksburg.

Services were in Lafayette under the direction of Fountain Memorial Funeral Home.

MARY FRANCIS SHAW

CHICAGO Mary Francis Shaw died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at Holy Cross Medical Center in Chicago. She was 62.

Mrs. Shaw was born in Vicksburg and had lived in Chicago since 1963. She was a homemaker and a member of Hope Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie P. Shaw; and a son, Donny Jones.

She is survived by her mother, Willie Lee Jones of Vicksburg; her father, Norman Cook of Chicago; three sons, Danny Jones of Vicksburg, Willie Shaw Jr. of Chicago and Michael Shaw of Freeport, Ill.; four daughters, Michelle Taylor, Ursula Neill, Shanese Suggs, all of Chicago, and Jacquelyn Shaw of Madison, Wis.; 22 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and other relatives, including John Taylor of Chicago and Violet Bolden of Vicksburg.

Services will be Friday at Hope Presbyterian Church in Chicago under the direction of Burton Funeral Home.

JOANN WYATT

FAYETTE Joann Wyatt died Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at her home in Fayette. She was 40.

An Adams County native, Mrs. Wyatt was a teacher at Jefferson County Middle School. She was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Roshundra Wyatt; a brother, Jessie Gilchrist; and her grandmother, Holly Bell Wyatt.

Survivors include her parents, Gus Sr. and Argie Wyatt Gilchrist of Fayette; six brothers, Stanley Wyatt of Jackson, Kelvin Gilchrist of Brandon, Freddie Lee Smith of Monroe and Hugh M. Wyatt, James Gilchrist and Gus Gilchrist Jr., all of Fayette; two sisters, Emma Wyatt and Sadria Colenburg, both of Fayette; and friends and other relatives.

Services will be at noon Wednesday at Hollywood Baptist Church with the Rev. E.E. Colenburg officiating. Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home of Fayette.
