SAM NEAL SR.

Sam Neal Sr. died Friday, Feb. 15, 2002, at Trace Haven Nursing Home. He was 91.

Mr. Neal retired from Anderson-Tully Company. He was a member of Bethlehem M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Neal; a son, Nathaniel Neal; and his parents, John Neal and Fannie Johnson Neal.

He is survived by five sons, Sam Neal Jr. and Leon Neal, both of Vicksburg, Jimmy Neal, Clarence Neal and John Lee Neal, all of Chicago; four daughters, Eliza Sanders, Clara Cotton, Mary Neal and Ernestine Neal, all of Chicago; his sister, Emma Magee of Vicksburg; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

LOU ELLA SHELLEY

FAIRBANKS, Alaska Lou Ella Shelley died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, in Fairbanks, Alaska. She was 83.

Mrs. Shelley was a resident of Fairbanks.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tillman Shelley; her parents, Sterling and Lizzie Williams; and her sister, Evelyn Buck.

She is survived by her stepson, Tillman Whitley of Vicksburg; two stepdaughters, Ruby Henderson and Bernice Henderson, both of Vicksburg; a niece, Elizabeth A. Williams of Vicksburg; and other relatives.

Memorial services will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Miller officiating.
