Services for Rosa Cox will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Williams Funeral Service chapel with the Rev. Robert Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cox died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. She was 93.

A housewife, Mrs. Cox was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Los Angeles.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pat Sanchez; her parents Professor Joseph David Mayfield and Willie Mae Mayfield; four brothers, Arthur Mayfield, Alphonso Mayfield, Joseph David Mayfield and Elmo Mayfield; and three sisters, Maeonia Chambers, Willie Mae Mayfield and Vashti Mayfield.

She is survived by two sisters, Clara Miller of Vicksburg and Ethelyn Artis of Lancaster, Calif.; a granddaughter, Paula Matthew Sanchez of New Orleans; one great-granddaughter; and other relatives.
