BILLY LAMAR HOLDINESS

Billy Lamar Holdiness died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. He was 62.

Mr. Holdiness was the son of the late Sam Henry and Annie Vaughn Holdiness. He served as a night supervisor with Oliver Electric Company for 10 years and worked for Redd Pest Control as a technician for 23 years, retiring in 1995.

He was a member of Living Water Christian Fellowship.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Evie Mae Cook, and two brothers, Robert Holdiness and James Holdiness.

Survivors include his wife, Lois White Holdiness of Vicksburg; two sons, Ricky Holdiness and Mark Holdiness, both of Vicksburg; three sisters, Doris Reed and Faye Gregory, both of Louisville, Miss., and Mamie Cook of Heidelberg, Miss.; five brothers, John William Holdiness, Barney Junior Holdiness and Kellis Holdiness, all of Philadelphia, and Max Holdiness and J.W. Holdiness, both of Vicksburg; four grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home with the Revs. Doyle Moulder, Larry Haggard and Kevin Marr officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be David White, Wayne White, Robert Carney, Jimmy Harrison, Dale Holdiness, Roger Holdiness, Mike Traxler and Jeffery Grimshel.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dole Purvis, Greg Newman, Douglas Traxler, Willie Willis, Frank Barkdull, Bobby McMillian, Luther Barber, Joy Keyes, Dr. Henry Jarmon, Rachel Crawford, Eric Pell and Travis Pell.
