EVA JEAN BROWN

Eva Jean Brown died Monday, Feb. 18, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. She was 58.

Mrs. Brown was born in Nashville to the late Jay Frank and Helen R. Johnson Brown. She had lived in Vicksburg most of her life and was of the Catholic faith.

She is survived by her husband, David Brown of Vicksburg; two sons, James Flowers and Joseph Flowers, both of Vicksburg; two daughters, Karen Bradshaw and Stacy Graves, both of Vicksburg; a stepdaughter, Mary V. Brown of Shreveport, La.; two brothers, Jay Frank Brown Jr. of Vicksburg and Ernest Brown of Port Gibson; one sister, Sallie Vinson of Vicksburg; and five grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at a later date under the direction of Fisher-Riles Funeral Home.

DONNILEE H. RHOADES

NATCHEZ Donnilee H. Rhoades died Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, at Natchez Regional Medical Center. She was 66.

A native of Port Gibson, Mrs. Rhoades graduated from Port Gibson High School, Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Vicksburg and Natchez Business College. She retired as an auditor for Sears after 20 years of service.

She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church in Natchez.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Rogillio.

Survivors include her husband, Charles W. Rhoades of Natchez; two sons, William H. Rhoades of Natchez and Charles Vance Rhoades of Vidalia, Ga.; one daughter, Marsha Overton of Waxahachie, Texas; and two grandchildren, William Paul and Holly Rhoades, both of Vidalia.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Glenwood Chapel in Port Gibson. Burial will follow at Wintergreen Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ural Bliss, Wallace Rodrigues, Richard Parker Jr., Anthony Townsend, Clyde Rodrigues and Homer Rodrigues.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Brown and Richard Parker Sr.

MACK WOODHOUSE

Mack Woodhouse died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2002, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home. He was 79.

Mr. Woodhouse was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg and member of Hickory Tree M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison and Estella Woodhouse; two brothers; and one sister.

He is survived by a brother, Coleman Woodhouse of Aurora, Ill., other relatives and friends.

Robbins Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

EMILY B. YARRINGTON

LYNNWOOD, Ill. Emily B. Yarrington died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, at her daughter’s home in Lynnwood, Ill. She was 91.

Mrs. Yarrington was a former resident of St. Joseph.

She was preceded in death by a son, Clyde L. Yarrington.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Yarrington Sr. of Lynnwood; two daughters, Ollie Y. Caleb of Lynnwood and Odessa Y. Mercer of Ladson, S.C.; four sons, Thomas Yarrington Jr., of Lynnwood, Vernon Yarrington of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Wallace Yarrington and Hurdist Yarrington, both of Las Vegas; nieces; nephews; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other relatives, including Mr. and Mrs. John Carson of Vicksburg.

Services were at noon today at Calvary Baptist Church in Glenwood, Ill., and will be at noon Saturday at Magnolia Baptist Church in Newellton under the direction of Tenant Funeral Home of Rayville, La.
