JOSEPHINE DONOHUE McBRIDE
LEVITTOWN, PA Josephine Donohue McBride died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at her home in Levittown. She was 88.
Mrs. McBride was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and lived in Upper Darby, Pa., before moving to Levittown six years ago. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolphus “Jack” McBride.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Winberg of Levittown; one son, Richard Donohue of Vicksburg; one daughter, Mary Winberg of Levittown; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael the Archangel Church.

EDITH MILLER
Edith “Dena” Miller died Friday, March 1, 2002, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 73.
Mrs. Miller was born in Vicksburg. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard W. Miller Sr.
She is survived by her son, Richard W. Miller Jr. of Vicksburg; two daughters, Connie Miller Rittenhouse of Brewton, Ala., and Becky Miller Turner of Vicksburg; one brother, Claude Bagby of Vicksburg; one sister, Hazel Bagby Ables; six grandchildren, Paul Turner, Stephen Turner, Chase Miller, Colby Miller, Jennifer Stringer and Stacy Normand, all of Vicksburg; and one great-granddaughter, Emily Stringer of Vicksburg.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Livingston, rector of Christ Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi, 16 Northtown Drive, Jackson, MS, 39211, or the Scleraderma Foundation, 12 Kentway Suite 101, Byfield, MA, 01922.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Bagby, Claude Bagby Jr., Billy Ables, Bobby Ables and Ricky Ables.
JEANETTE McMILLIN RATLIFF
Jeanette McMillin Ratliff died Friday, March 1, 2002, at her son’s home in Vicksburg. She was 88.
Mrs. Ratliff was born in Louisville, Miss., and moved to Vicksburg in 1920. She worked as a seamstress for several clothing stores. She was a member of Wayside Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Ratliff; and her parents, Ben M. McMillin and Gertrude Varner McMillin.
She is survived by three sons; Jimmy Stanford, Billy Mac Galey and Johnny Ray Galey, all of Vicksburg; three daughters, Linda G. Henley of Dallas and Joyce S. Shiers and Doris G. Boyler, both of Vicksburg; one sister, Loriece M. Beall of Vicksburg; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Haggard, pastor of Wayside Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Wayside Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home from 9 a.m. Monday until the service.
Pallbearers will be Benny McMillin, Roy McMillin, George McMillin, Steven Gacey, James F. Shiers Jr., Rocky E. Shiers, Hank Galey and A.J. Beard.
DAVID EMMETT RAY
David Emmett Ray died Friday, March 1, 2002, in Newport News, Va. He was 46.
Mr. Ray was born and reared in Vicksburg, and graduated from Vicksburg High School. He attended Hinds Community College and Mississippi State University. He worked for the Army Corps of Engineers for 23 years, and received several awards including the Department of the Army Achievement Medal for Civilian Employees and the Department of the Army Commanders Award. He was a member of Crawford Street United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Ray.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Carr Ray of Vicksburg; three daughters, Sallie May Ray, Ellen Claire Ray and Haley Layne Ray, all of Vicksburg; his mother, Mary Elizabeth Ray of Vicksburg; one brother, William Michael Ray of Anguilla; and one sister, Sylvia Ray Gurtowski of Vicksburg.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Billy Brookfield and Geoffrey Joyner, officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation will be at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home from 3 until 5 this afternoon.

CHARLES TILLMAN
Services for Charles Tillman will be at noon Monday at Williams Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Williams Funeral Service from 2 until 5 this afternoon.
Mr. Tillman died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002, at University Medical Center in Jackson. He was 47.
He worked in maintenance for River Oaks Apartments. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Tillman.
He is survived by his wife, Jannie Tillman of Vicksburg; a son, Shannon Tillman of Vicksburg; two daughters, Shelwin Tillman and Benita Tillman, both of Vicksburg; his mother and stepfather, Ruth Younger Nixon and Robert Nixon of Vicksburg; his paternal grandmother, Limmie Tillman of Jackson; and Cora Galtney and Mary R. Galtney, both of Vicksburg, friends and other relatives, including Ora Green of Los Angeles and Kenneth E. Galtney of Vicksburg.
