MARY LOUISE BAUGHER

Mary Louise Baugher died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood. She was 76.

Mrs. Baugher was born in Vicksburg and had lived in Greenville for 30 years. A homemaker, she was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Baugher; two sons, Floyd David Baugher and Jerry Wayne Baugher; a brother, Bobby Thomas; and a sister, Alice Collins.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Gullett of Pearl and Linda Louise Powers of Vicksburg; two sisters, Betty Hunter of Vicksburg and Maxine Wright of Clinton; three brothers, Pat Thomas of Raymond, Neal Thomas of Clute, Texas, and Billy Dean Thomas of Slidell, La.; and 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mortimer Funeral Home in Greenville. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Friday until the service at the funeral home.

SYBIL FRANCIS CASELLI

NITTA YUMA Sybil Francis Caselli died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at Kings Daughters Hospital in Greenville. She was 92.

A homemaker, Mrs. Caselli was born and reared in Rolling Fork. She moved to Nitta Yuma in 1934. She was a graduate of Mississippi University for Women. She was a member of Anguilla Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Renato P. Caselli Sr.

She is survived by two sons, Renato P. Caselli Jr. of Ashland, Ore., and Carlo A. Caselli of Nitta Yuma; her sister, Edna Fulton of Brandon, Fla.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Anguilla Methodist Church in Anguilla with the Rev. James Milner officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery in Rolling Fork under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Saturday until the service at the church.

IVA IRENE CONN

OAK GROVE, La. Iva Irene Conn died Monday, March 4, 2002, at her home in Conroe, Texas. She was 69.

Mrs. Conn was born in Oak Grove, La., and had lived in Conroe for 20 years. She was past president of Conn’s Construction Inc. and a member of the Houston Contractors Association. A gardener, she participated in showing horses.

Mrs. Conn was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Hazel Mae Castle; a sister, Katherine Strickland; and two brothers, Billy Castle and Joe Raymond Castle.

Survivors include her husband, Henry Sartor Conn Sr. of Conroe; a daughter, Janice Faye Johnson; two sons, Henry Sartor Conn Jr. and David Glenn Conn; two brothers, Buddy Castle and Bobby Castle; and and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Cox Chapel in Oak Grove. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

MARY B. FORD

Services for Mary B. “Granny” Ford will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home with the Rev. Eric Thomas, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ford died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. She was 90.

Born in Obion, Tenn., she had lived in Vicksburg most of her life. She was a retired certified operating room technician at Mercy Hospital with 30 years of service. She was one of the founders of the Vicksburg Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was the daughter of a Confederate veteran. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery department for 40 years and was a member of the Lottie Moon Missionary Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C.L. Ford Sr.; and a grandson, David Ellerbee.

She is survived by two sons, Charles L. “Buster” Ford Jr. and Alfred W. Ford, both of Vicksburg; her daughter, Betty McBroom of Baskin, La.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bill Ford, Flynt Cloer, Bradley Smith, Don Ford, Blake Smith, Michael Ford, Kenny Ellerbe and Ricky Ellerbe.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Smith, George McBroom, Sidney Tucker, Jerry Crowder, Ernest Parker, Mobrey Parker, Louis Robichaux, Lesta Lee and the women of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Vicksburg Fire Department.

PHENEX NOBLE

PORT GIBSON Phenex Noble died Friday, March 1, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. He was 59.

Mr. Noble was a member of Christian Chapel Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lula Reed and Nathan Noble Sr.; and 11 siblings.

He is survived by two daughters, Renita Knox of Akron, Ohio, and Alisha Noble of Jackson; two sons, R. Dean Noble and Andre Noble, both of Jackson; five brothers, Nathan Noble Jr. of Port Gibson, Samuel Woods of Jackson, the Rev. Willis Reed of Queens, N.Y., and Willis Noble and Wade Noble, both of Buffalo, N.Y.; two sisters, Betty Cadney and Rachel Washington, both of Buffalo; three grandchildren; and other relatives.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Christian Chapel church in Port Gibson with Elder T.E. Harris officiating. Burial will follow at McCay Cemetery in Russum.

Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. today at Thompson Funeral Home and from noon Friday until the service at the church.

WALLACE WILLIAMS SR.

Services for Wallace Williams Sr. will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Cedar Grove M.B. Church. Burial will be at Gracelawn Cemetery in New Castle, Del.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at Williams Funeral Service.

Mr. Williams died Monday, March 4, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. He was 72.

Mr. Williams was retired from the Chrysler Corporation in Newark, Del. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Morning Star M.B. Church where he was a deacon, trustee and Sunday school superintendent. He was a former member of New Calvary Baptist Church in Wilmington, Del., where he was a deacon, trustee, Sunday school superintendent and a teacher.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth W. Williams; a daughter, Celeste L. Young; his parents, Charlie Williams Sr. and Arilla Miller Williams; five brothers, George Williams, Graham Williams, Charlie Williams Jr., Amos Williams and Harden Williams; and three sisters, Lizzette W. Walker, Rutha Mae Jefferson and Ida Bell Stewart.

He is survived by four sons, Wallace Williams Jr. of New Castle, Del., Richard Williams Sr. of Newark, John Henry Giles of Niagara Falls, N.Y., and Perry Fields of Seattle, Wash.; two daughters, Janet Williams Coger of Newark and Betty L. Williams of Wilmington; his brother, John L. Williams of Vicksburg; three sisters, Clara Thomas of Denver, Colo., and Jim Ella Williams and Hazel Hatchett, both of Vicksburg; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and other relatives, including Michelle Renee Gasby of Wilmington.
