ISIAH R. DUNMORE

Services for Isiah R. “Pee Wee” Dunmore will be at noon Monday at Travelers Rest M.B. Church. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home.

Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. Monday until the service.

Mr. Dunmore died Monday, March 4, 2002, at his sister’s home in Decatur, Ga. He was 47.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Sr. and Josie Dunmore.

He is survived by two daughters, Maieya Nichols and Lasundra Dunmore, both of Los Angeles; two brothers, Clarence E. Dunmore Jr. and Omar Shabazz, both of Vicksburg; three sisters, Mary Brown of Decatur, Mamie Bailey of Chicago and Dorothy Dunmore of Vicksburg; nieces; nephews; and other relatives.

RAPHAEL A. FRANCO

Raphael A. Franco died Friday, March 8, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. He was 87.

Mr. Franco was a native and lifelong resident of Vicksburg. He retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District with 36 years of service. He was the chief of the Stream Data Unit and received many awards, including one for exemplary performance during the great Missouri-Mississippi River Flood in 1973. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and a fourth-degree, life-time member of the Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Franco served on the local executive council of the Boy Scouts of America for 18 years and with the Little League Baseball program for 32 years, including 23 as president. He also served on the Board of Architectural Review.

Mr. Franco served in all leadership and elective offices of the Vicksburg Elks Lodge No. 95 since joining it in 1958. He also served in the Mississippi State Elks Association, as secretary-treasurer and state president and he was elected to the Mississippi Elks Hall of Fame in 1981. Mr. Franco was the first Mississippian elected to a Grand Lodge Office, serving as Grand Tiler from 1990 to 1991.

Mr. Franco was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Anne Miele Franco; two brothers, Mike and Pete Franco; and a daughter, Delores Franco.

He is survived by his wife, Violet Franco of Vicksburg; two daughters, Debra F. Wallace and Marea F. Stuckey, both of Vicksburg; two sons, Raphael A. Franco Jr. and Sammy Franco, both of Vicksburg; three brothers, John, Joe and Paul Franco, all of Vicksburg; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas McGing officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home Sunday from 3 until 5 p.m.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Grafton, Charlie Duffie, Charles Gosa, C.W. Hicks, Harry Ulery, Bobby Evans, Carlton Rone, Joe Stuckey, Bill Sheffield, Larry Kostmayer, the Elks Card Club and members of the Mississippi State Elks Association.

MARIE B. HUNT

ROXIE Marie B. Hunt died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, in Kenner, La. She was 75.

Born in Franklin County, Mrs. Hunt was a resident of Roxie. She was a homemaker and a member of Roxie First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Hunt Sr.; her parents, Albert Buckles and Letha Brown; two sisters, Bertha McCune and Ollie Mae Griffin; a grandson, Detrick McGee; and a great-granddaughter, Dominique Norman.

She is survived by six sons, Richard Hunt Jr. and Danny Hunt, both of Roxie, Robert Hunt, Clarence Norman and Ivory Hunt, all of Atlanta, and Richard Norman of Las Cruces, N.M.; five daughters, Troy Davis of Jackson, Brenda Norman of Atlanta, Lillian Watkins of Kenner, Darlene Cameron of New Orleans and Arnetta Pickett of Roxie; three adopted sons, Marcus Hunt, Alvin Hunt and Corey Hunt, all of Roxie; her adopted daughter, Tashaka King of New Orleans; three brothers, A.D. Buckles of Roxie, Joe Buckels of Gulfport and Jerry Blackman of Gloster; four sisters, Mattie Tinner of Gary, Ind., Maggie Wilson of Roxie, Mamie Buckles of Gulfport and Catherine Taylor of Roxie; 35 grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

Services will be at noon Sunday at Roxie First Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Roxie First Baptist Church Cemetery with Rollins Funeral Home of Fayette in charge.

Visitation will be at Rollins Chapel in Fayette from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. today.

ALEXIA TIERRA JOHNSON

Services for Alexia Tierra Johnson, infant daughter of Autumn Johnson and Alexander Ellis Jr., will be at 2 p.m. today at Williams Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Alexia died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at River Region Medical Center.

In addition to her parents, Alexia is survived by a brother, Anthony Jones Jr.; her sister, Armani Johnson; her maternal grandparents, Melva Buchanan of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Leon Turner of Vicksburg; her paternal grandparents, Charlotte Campbell and Alexander Ellis Sr., both of Jackson; her great-grandparents, Verna Davis of Vicksburg, Joyce Marie Jones of Port Gibson and Carrie Ellis of Jackson; and other relatives.
