Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said that Jackson was headed north on Oak Ridge Road near Henry Road around 3:55 p.m. when the truck flipped. He said it appeared that the truck first left the road on the right-hand side and then turned sharply to the left where it flipped and came to rest in the ditch on the passenger side.

“Her fiance was at home waiting on her and wondering why she was late,” Pace said.

Jackson was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown partly out the passenger side window, Pace said.

Thomason said the death appeared to have been instant and caused by internal injuries and a fractured neck.

Jackson worked at a pharmacy in Vicksburg and was on her way home after work, Pace said. Family members said that Jackson and her fiance had planned to head out of town for the weekend after she came home from work, Thomason said.

Jackson’s mother, brother and her two daughters all live in Vicksburg. Fisher-Riles Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
