MABLE BARNES
DETROIT Mable Barnes, formerly of Vicksburg, died Friday, March 29, 2002, in Detroit. She was 76.
Mrs. Barnes was a member of New Prosperity Baptist Church in Detroit.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Harold Barnes; four sisters, Willie Ruth Foxx, Leevella Minor, Mose Ann Williams and Evelyn Peaches; and three brothers, Charlie Barnes, Albert Barnes and Edward Young.
Survivors include two daughters, Rutha Mae King of Vicksburg and Carolyn Ann Boyd of Detroit; five sons, Jimmy Barnes, Edward Barnes, David Barnes, Ricky Barnes and Albert Barnes, all of Detroit; and other relatives, including members of the King, DeFrance, Young, Scarbrough, Barnes, Moore and Williams families.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Chapel in Detroit.
MARY SCOTT CHAMBERS
Services for Mary Scott Chambers will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home with Tommy Brown officiating.
Mrs. Chambers died Saturday, March 30, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. She was 54.
Mrs. Chambers retired as a school teacher in Lake Providence and Sharkey County. She was a member of the Church of Christ on Mission 66, St. John Benevolent Society and NEA.
She was preceded in death by her father and her mother, James Scott and Ruth Davis Scott, and a sister, Erma Scott.
Survivors include two daughters, Shellon Chambers Wilson and Natalie Chambers, both of Vicksburg; two brothers, James Scott Jr. of Vicksburg and Clarence Scott of Terry; one sister, Rosa Scott Sanders of Vicksburg; one grandson, Joshua Scott Wilson of Vicksburg; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, including members of the Scott, Chambers, Regan, Walker, Williams and Neal families of Vicksburg.
EMILY BONELLI LATSKO
CARROLTON, Texas Emily Bonelli Latsko died Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at Trinity Medical Center in Carrolton, Texas. She was 93.
Mrs. Latsko was born and reared in Vicksburg and had lived in Dallas for more than 50 years. She was a graduate of All Saints’ Episcopal School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Latsko; her son, George Vincent Latsko; her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Vincent Bonelli; and her sister, Gladys Hiatt.
Mrs. Latsko was a member of St. Matthew’s Cathedral in Dallas and was a member of Women’s Episcopal groups and Daughters of the King.
She is survived by her brother, Vincent Bonelli Jr. of Vicksburg; one nephew and three nieces; a great-nephew; and several cousins.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park Garden of Trees, 7404 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, Texas, with the Rev. Jandy Watkins of St. Matthews Cathedral officiating.
Memorials may be made a charity of choice.
