Prentiss R. “Renee” Parker died today, April 8, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. She was 39.

Miss Parker was a beautician.

She was preceded in death by her father, Butler Parker; her maternal grandparents, Frank and Hattie Turner; and her maternal grandmother, Mattie Parker.

She is survived by her daughter, Prentiss Fiori Parker of Vicksburg; her mother, Glorya Frank Turner Gee of Vicksburg; her brother Dario McFayard Lawrence of Vicksburg; and other relatives including Reno Davis and Erma Davis, both of Vicksburg and Gloria Ellis of New York.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

EDNA LILLIAN OWSLEY THRASH

Edna Lillian Owsley Thrash died Sunday, April 7, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. She was 80.

A lifelong resident of Warren County, Mrs. Thrash was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Faye Wilkinson and Shirley Roth; and two sisters, Josie Beard and Lucille Kleinman.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, C.C. Thrash of Vicksburg; her son, A.C. “Sonny” Thrash of Vicksburg; two daughters, Linda Folden of Redwood and Kay Mackey of Vicksburg; two sisters, Vera Burroughs and Jean Anderson, both of Vicksburg; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Jacks officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Herman Schieder, Rickey Rolland, Thomas “Tank” Wells, Steven Roth, Leonard Thrash and Bob Harrison.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
