SHERMAN P. COLEMAN SR.

PORT GIBSON Sherman P. Coleman Sr. died Monday, June 3, 2002, at his home in Port Gibson. He was 66.

Mr. Coleman was a member of Mount Olive M.B. Church and retired from General Motors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Addie Coleman; three brothers, Walter Coleman, George Coleman and Dewey Coleman; and a sister, Eva Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Eaddy of Port Gibson; three sons, Sherman P. Coleman Jr. of Tampa, Fla., and Anthony L. Coleman and Emanuel Coleman, both of Dayton, Ohio; three daughters, Loretta A. Richardson, Jackie Reddens and Louessa Weatherspoon, all of Dayton; two brothers, Arthur Coleman and Prentiss Haney, both of Dayton; three sisters, Julia Jones and Ruby Walker, both of Port Gibson, and Lena Beatherly of Dayton; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including Mary McElroy of Dayton.

Services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday at Mount Olive M.B. Church in the Westside community near Lorman with the Rev. Elijah Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Carbondale Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. today at Thompson Funeral Home Inc. in Port Gibson and from 1 p.m. Saturday until the service at the church.

WILMA JANE FLOYD

Services for Wilma Jane Floyd will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Springhill M.B. Church with Pastor Phillip Burks officiating. Burial will follow at Belmont M.B. Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. today at Williams Funeral Service.

Mrs. Floyd died Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. She was 56.

She was a member of Christian Home No. 2 Baptist Church and was employed with Rose Cleaning Co.

She was preceded in death by her husband, R.D. Floyd Sr.; her parents, Walter and Coniell Warfield; and a brother, Walter Louis Warfield.

Survivors include three sons, James Floyd Sr. and R.D. Floyd Jr., both of Vicksburg, and Michael Floyd of Tulsa, Okla.; a daughter, Georgia Floyd of Hazel Crest, Ill.; four brothers, Fred Mace, Thomas Warfield and Mose Warfield, all of Vicksburg, and T.C. Warfield of Las Vegas; 10 sisters, Martha Faulkner of Jackson, Mary Allen of Chicago and Marion Coy, Ethel Gardner, Alice Frank Jones, Ruby Warfield, Lena Robinson, Ruth Virginia Williams, Flora Williams and her twin, Wilma Jean Pendleton, all of Vicksburg; three grandchildren; and friends and other relatives, including Cora Floyd and Rosie Tucker, both of Vicksburg.

MARK DETRICK LACEY

Services for Mark Detrick Lacey will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Elem Baptist Church with pastor Leonard Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at Williams Funeral Service.

Mr. Lacey died Sunday, June 2, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. He was 14.

A student at Vicksburg Junior High School, he was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his mother, Yolanda Lacey of Vicksburg; his maternal grandparents, Isiah and Dorothy Brewer of Vicksburg; two uncles, Isiah Brewer Jr. and Keith Brewer, both of Vicksburg; an aunt, Renee Maxey of Vicksburg; and other relatives and friends, including members of the Brooks, Lacey, Parnell, Slater and Slaughter families.

ROBERTA LANE

ROLLING FORK Roberta Lane died Friday, June 1, 2002, at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville. She was 82.

Mrs. Lane is survived by her son, Danny R. Lane of Anguilla; two daughters, Rosie Hunley of Anguilla and Alice Hayes of Rolling Fork; two brothers, Joseph Lane of Mayersville and Henry Lane of Riviera, Fla.; two sisters, Rosie Lee Richards and Flora B. Gipson, both of Anguilla; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rose Hill M.B. Church in Anguilla. Burial will follow at Cameta Cemetery in Cameta under the direction of Walker Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Sunday until the service at the church.
