ESTELLE LEE BEARD
PHILADELPHIA, Miss. Estelle Lee Beard died Thursday, June 6, 2002, at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian. She was 76.
Mrs. Beard was a native of the Florida Everglades and spent her early childhood in Neshoba County. She was a longtime resident of Vicksburg before returning to Neshoba County 12 years ago. She was a retired waitress and attended New Zion United Pentecostal Church in Philadelphia.
She is survived by two sisters-in-law, Ruby Lee and Bobbie Alford, both of Philadelphia.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at McClain Hays Funeral Home in Philadelphia with the Rev. Randall Dunaway officiating. Burial will follow at Henry’s Chapel Cemetery in Philadelphia.
HELEN CUTLER LANE
DELHI, La. Helen Cutler Lane died Thursday, June 6, 2002, at Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston, La. She was 86.
Mrs. Lane was a native of the Delhi area. She was a homemaker and a member of the Delhi United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Patrick Lane Sr.
She is survived by two sons, Patrick Lane Jr. of Lake Village, Ark., and James Micheal Lane of Pace, Fla.; one daughter, Linda L. Newton of Ruston, La.; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Delhi United Methodist Church with the Rev. Joe Rountree officiating. Burial will follow at Delhi Masonic Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Delhi United Methodist Church from 9:30 a.m. Monday until the service.
Memorials may be made to the Delhi United Methodist Church.
Pallbearers will be Matt Zimmerer, Gaylon Owens, John Cutler, Charles Hixon, Melvin Oswell, Tommy James, Norman Grantham and Bruce Bagwell.
