ELIJAH KNIGHT JR.

Elijah “Man” Knight Jr. died Monday, June 10, 2002, at Central Mississippi Medical Center. He was 44.

Mr. Knight was a 1977 graduate of Vicksburg High School. He attended Alcorn State University and Jackson State University where he received his master’s degree in business administration. He was a member of Phi Beta Sigma and the Pioneer Sportsman Club. He was the director of Auxiliary Service at Jackson State University.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elijah Knight Sr.

He is survived by his daughter, Eliza S. Knight; his son, Robert Lofton; his mother, Blanche G. Knight; six sisters, Susan Brown, Lelia Stamps, Blanche Knight, Jacqueline Knight, Felicia Criss and Norma Carter; two brothers, Jimmy Hester and Jetherall Knight; his grandmother, Susie Lewis; and other relatives, including Edna W. Knight.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater New Jerusalem M.B. Church, 4450 Raymond Road in Jackson. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Westhaven Funeral Home
