GUY EDWARD DYCUS

TALLULAH Guy Edward Dycus died Sunday, July 7, 2002, at the Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport. He was 61.

Born in Independence, La., Mr. Dycus had lived in Madison Parish for 25 years. He was a produce vendor, a retired construction worker and a commercial fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Ann Mejias Dycus of Tallulah; three sons, Jerry Dycus of Danville, Ala., and Michael Mejias and Jonathan Mejias, both of Tallulah; his daughter, Sherry Jenkins of Tallulah; his stepson, Sammy Mejias of Tallulah; his brother, Larry Dycus of Vicksburg; four sisters, Inez Hill of Chase, Mich., Lois Melton of Grenada, JoAnn Dornbush of Vicksburg and Mildred Guin of Newellton; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Hester officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Larry Litton, Jesse Mejias, Freeman Hill, Vince Haven, Joe VanHorn and James Litton.

IRENE JOHNSON

Irene Johnson died Monday, July 8, 2002, at Vicksburg Convalescent Home. She was 82.

A Vicksburg native, Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and member of Travelers Rest M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Johnson; and five brothers, John Perkins, Joe Perkins, Albert Perkins, Ben Perkins and Oliver Perkins.

She is survived by three sisters, Thelma Kent Jones and Ollie Whittaker, both of Vicksburg, and Mary Jane Fenderson of New Orleans; two brothers, Melvin Perkins of Vicksburg and Robert McCoy of Chicago; and other relatives and friends.

Robbins Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

AUDREY JONES STANLEY

HAMBURG, Ark. Audrey Jones Stanley died Sunday, July 7, 2002, at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences Center in Little Rock. She was 86.

Mrs. Stanley was a former resident of Lake Providence where she attended Northside Church of Christ, and Bradley, Ark., where she attended Arkansas Church of Christ. She was a resident of Hamburg, Ark., and attended the Hamburg Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Andrew Stanley; her parents, Eddie and Leona Jones; her brother, Herbert Jones; and her sister, Wilma Hankins.

She is survived by two sons, Gerald Stanley of Lake Providence and Richard Stanley of Gurdon, Ark.; two daughters, Anne Jones of Monroe and Judy Hattaway of Hamburg; her brother, Dick Jones of Little Rock; three sisters, Louise Fortenberry of Tallulah, Evelyn Johnson of Boulder Creek, Calif., Eunice Odaware of Gillett, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Northside Church of Christ in Lake Providence with V.W. Hayhurst, Joe Sponagule and Woodie Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Memorial Cemetery in Lake Providence.

Visitation will be from 4:30 until 8 p.m. today at Cox Funeral Home in Lake Providence.

Pallbearers will be Donald Jones, Mark Stanley, Jerry Stanley, Gary Stanley, Rick Stanley and Chaz Hattaway.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Chapman, Oscar Clark, Taylor Hattaway, Terry Jones and Bryan Pinnell.

JO ANN POWELL WARREN

Services for Jo Ann Powell Warren will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church, 406 Klein St. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at Williams Funeral Service.

Mrs. Warren died Friday, July 5, 2002, at her home. She was 41.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Lee Powell Sr.

She is survived by her fiance, Adolph L. Williams of Vicksburg; her mother, Susie Parker Powell of Vicksburg; a brother, Willie Powell Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif.; three sisters, Dorothy Chambers, Lena Powell Chiplin and Susie Williams, all of Vicksburg; and other relatives.
