BOBBIE MARIE CRAWFORD

TRANSYLVANIA, La. Bobbie Marie Crawford died Tuesday, July 23, 2002, at Richardson Medical Center in Rayville, La. She was 74.

Mrs. Crawford was born in Lake Providence and was a resident of Transylvania, La.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Crawford, and her parents, Fannie Mitts and Robert Ellis Landrem.

Survivors include a brother, Richard Landrem of Tallulah, and three sisters, Mickie Flynn of Monroe, Betty Sullivan of Transylvania and Louise White of New Iberia, La.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cox Chapel in Lake Providence with the Rev. S.B. Boyett officiating. Burial will follow at Providence Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight and from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Robbie Landrem, Rickey Landrem, Barry Sullivan, David Lee Ainsworth, Gene Ainsworth and Jerry Isaac.

Honorary pallbearers will be Butch White, Charles White and Butch Sullivan.

FRANKIE CUBIT

CARY Frankie “Mae-Mae” Cubit died Thursday, July 25, 2002, at Sharkey-Issaquena Community Hospital. She was 64.

A homemaker, Mrs. Cubit was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Blanton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Norman and Annie Mae Willis, and a sister, Betty Brown.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Cubit of Cary; one son, Dennis Norman of Las Vegas; three daughters, Geraldine Norman, Poria Norman and Linda Norman, all of Monroe, La.; a brother, Joe Norman of Chicago; a sister, Mary Albert of Las Vegas; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

DOROTHY MAY DILDINE

Dorothy May Dildine died Wednesday, July 24, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. She was 87.

Mrs. Dildine was a native of Allport, Ark., and had lived in Vicksburg for 70 years. She was a former member of the St. Aloysius Mothers Club and the Women of the Moose Lodge.

She worked for North American Air Craft during World War II.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Dildine, and a sister.

Survivors include a son, Jack Dildine of Vicksburg, and four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Fisher Funeral Home with Mark Rowlen officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from noon until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

MOSE L. JAMES SR.

Mose L. James Sr. died Wednesday, July 24, 2002, at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown, Texas. He was 90.

Mr. James retired from Baytex Construction in Houston, Texas. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia R. James; his mother, Janie James; his father, Henry James; his stepmother, Leola Jones; a sister, Katie James; and a daughter, Ruby L. James.

Survivors include four sons, Mose L. James Jr. of Carson, Calif., Henry James of Los Angeles and Eugene James and Charlie James, both of Vicksburg; two daughters, Amy Crockett and Emma Sims, both of Vicksburg; and 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
