Diamond Dolls win again, stay perfect at nationals

[08/01/02]The Vicksburg Diamond Dolls continued their march through nationals with a 9-4 win over the Newton (Mass.) Panthers on Wednesday.
Brittany Fuller pitched 6 1/3 innings and struck out three as the team remained perfect in pool play. Lauren Anderson pitched 2/3 of an inning for the save.
Patti Collins went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs as the Dolls pounded out eight hits. Lauren Johnson had a double, while Fuller, Johnson and Anna Miller each had an RBI.
The Dolls are the top seed and were scheduled to play this morning at 10 a.m. They were also set to play at either 4 or 6 p.m. today.
