CAMILLE TILLMAN BARTLING

JACKSON Camille “Missy” Tillman Bartling died Saturday, August 3, 2002, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. She was 78.

A homemaker, Mrs. Bartling was a native of Vicksburg and a former resident of McComb. She had lived in Jackson since 1951. She was a graduate of Carr Central High School. She received her associate degree from Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., and her bachelor of science degree from Louisiana State University where she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. She was a member of Galloway United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C.M. “Sammy” Bartling; her parents, Dr. Albert G. and Alice Tillman; two brothers, Albert G. Tillman and Bruce Tillman; her grandson, Bill Crockett Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Germany of Oxford; her son, Bruce Bartling of Ridgeland; her stepdaughter, Margurite Crockett of Madison; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were at noon today at Galloway Memorial United Methodist church. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home.

MICHAEL W. COOPER

GULFPORT Michael W. “Mike” Cooper died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002, at his home in Gulfport. He was 46.

Mr. Cooper was a former resident of Vicksburg.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Cooper of Gulfport; two sons, Daniel Cooper of Gulfport and Jacob Cooper of Vicksburg; his parents, Claude and Bobbie Cooper of Vicksburg; his sister, Pam Rushing of Vicksburg; and his brother, Tommy Cooper of Vicksburg.

Rieman Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

CORETHA E. MILLER

Coretha E. Miller died today, Aug. 5. 2002, at Trace Haven Nursing Home. She was 86.

A homemaker, Mrs. Miller was a member of Cool Spring M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred D. Miller; her mother, Leola Powell; and her stepfather, Jeffrie Carter Sr.

She is survived by a sister, Hertisena Carter of Vicksburg; two stepbrothers; and five stepsisters.
