BOBBY L. BERRY

PORT GIBSON Bobby L. Berry died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, at Claiborne County Hospital from gunshot wounds to the chest. He was 39.

Mr. Berry was preceded in death by his father, Willie L. Berry Sr.; two brothers, Calvin Moore and Jessie Moore; an aunt, Cora Haywood; and two uncles, Leslie Green and Sammy Berry.

He is survived by Vera Flowers of Lorman; his mother, Mary Berry of Lorman; a son, Bobby Berry Jr. of Lorman; four daughters, Barbara F. Berry and Rebecca Berry, both of Lorman, Duane Smith of Port Gibson and Chasity Jones of Utica; two brothers, David Berry of Lorman and Willie Berry Jr. of Jackson; five sisters, Lessie Mable of Gary, Ind., Theresa Powers of Vicksburg, and Mary Green, Carrie Berry and Carolyn Jackson, all of Port Gibson, and other relatives.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at China Grove M.B. Church in Russum, with the Rev. Eddie Walls officiating. Burial will be at McCay Cemetery in Russum with Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson in charge of arrangements.

TONY DEDMON

PHOENIX, Miss. Tony Dedmon died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002, in Phoenix, Miss. He was 41.

Mr. Dedmon, a carpenter, was born in Warren County and had lived in Phoenix for the past 10 years.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn H. Dedmon, and his grandmother, Alice Tait.

He is survived by two sons, Michael Dedmon of Vicksburg and James Allen Dedmon of Phoenix; his father, Huey P. Dedmon Sr.; two brothers, Jim Pearson of Valley Park and Huey Preston Dedmon Jr. of Grenada; and one sister, Joyce Blackledge of Phoenix.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Oak Grove Cemetery in Phoenix. Burial will follow under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Bo Johnson, Richard Johnson, Todd Kennedy, Jim Pearson, J.T. Ketchum and Bob Ford.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dewey Pierce, Cecil “Blue” Cantrell, Michael “Tator” Clark, Johnny Sanders and employees of Parker Brothers Construction Co.

DREMONA JANAE MOORE

Dremona Janae Moore, infant daughter of Andre Moore and Bridgitt Williams of Vicksburg, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at River Region Medical Center.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her paternal grandmother, Velma Moore of Vicksburg; her maternal grandmother, Gracie Williams of Vicksburg; three brothers, Felix Williams, Daryl Green and Romelo Williams, all of Vicksburg; a sister, Shaquita Green of Vicksburg; and aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Williams Funeral Service has charge of arrangements.
