JOHNNIE BROADWAY

Services for Johnnie Broadway will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Williams Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Broadway died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. He was 88.

He was a member of Rose Hill M.B. Church in McNair and Masonic Lodge No. 1. He was retired from Anderson-Tully Co.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Broadway and Mary Eliza Kelly; three brothers, George Broadway, Clyde Broadway and Sims Broadway; and three sisters, Mary Lou Scott, Alberta Broadway and Henrietta Broadway.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia Broadway of Vicksburg; a son, Felix Gerald Robinson of Vicksburg; a sister, Sarah Broadway of Natchez; and other relatives.

GRACE LEE BUTLER BROWN

EDWARDS Services for Grace Lee Butler Brown will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mark M.B. Church in Edwards with the Rev. Albert Allen officiating. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery in Edwards under the direction of Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. Saturday until the service at the church.

Mrs. Brown died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at her home. She was 84.

She was a lifelong resident of Edwards and a member of St. Mark M.B. Church. She was also a member of the First Baptist Union of Hinds County and the Hinds and Adjoining Counties Christian Institute.

She was preceded in death by a son, Earl Brown Jr., and four brothers, James Frank Butler, Lafayette Butler, Alcorn Butler and George Lee Butler.

Survivors include her husband, Earl Brown Sr. of Edwards; two sons, Robert Earl Brown of Seattle, Wash., and Alan David Brown of New York, N.Y.; one daughter, Adra Ruth McDermott of Kingston, Jamaica; two sisters, Barbara C. King and Lula Holcumb, both of Gary, Ind.; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

FAYE HEMBY HUNT

LaGRANGE, Ga. Services for Faye Hemby Hunt will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Brown, associate pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Friday until the service at Riles Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hunt died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at her home in LaGrange, Ga. She was 83.

Mrs. Hunt, a native of Wilson, La., was a former resident of Vicksburg. She had been a resident of LaGrange for six years. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the First United Methodist Church of LaGrange.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kristina Faye Hunt; a great-granddaughter, Bethany Lauren Garrett; her sister, Betty H. Johnson; and a brother, Winston Hemby.

She is survived by her husband, George Beverly Hunt of LaGrange; her brother, Merrill Hemby Jr. of Ocean Springs; her daughter, Celeste Garrett of LaGrange; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

DREMONA JANAE MOORE

Services for Dremona Janae Moore, infant daughter of Andre Moore and Bridgitt Williams of Vicksburg, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Williams Funeral Service.

She died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at River Region Medical Center.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her paternal grandmother, Velma Moore of Vicksburg; her maternal grandmother, Gracie Williams of Vicksburg; three brothers, Felix Williams, Daryl Green and Romelo Williams, all of Vicksburg; a sister, Shaquita Green of Vicksburg; and aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

ANNIE BELL NEAL

Services for Annie Bell Neal will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Porters Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Hosie Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Robbins Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home chapel and from 10 a.m. Saturday until the service.

Mrs. Neal died Friday, Aug. 23, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. She was 85.

Mrs. Neal was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg. She was a homemaker and member of Porters Chapel Baptist Church, where she had served as president of the choir.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Columbus Neal; one daughter; three sisters; and five brothers.

Survivors include four sons, Willie Neal, Columbus Neal Jr., Charles Edward Neal and Alexander Neal, all of Vicksburg; three daughters, Barbara Calvin and Mary Wahiid, both of Vicksburg, and Thelma Marie Greer of Chicago; one sister, Elsie Watson of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; two brothers, Cornelius Jones of Vicksburg and Charlie Jones of Champaign, Ill.; 28 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren.

GEORGIA L. PATTON

Services for Georgia L. Patton will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Burial will follow under the direction of Williams Funeral Service.

Mrs. Patton died Friday, Aug. 2, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. She was 67.

Reared in Vicksburg, Ms. Patton attended St. Mary’s Episcopal School and graduated from Bowman High School in 1952. She received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Tuskegee University in 1957.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Gray Patton, and her father, Abe Jerry Patton Sr.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Ann Patton of San Francisco; and a brother, Abe Jerry Patton of Duncanville, Texas.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Kidney Foundation or American Diabetic Association.

TRENTON REECE STOFFER

OAK GROVE Services for Trenton Reece Stoffer, infant son of Timothy D. and Chasity Ann Stoffer of Oak Grove, will be at 2 p.m. today at First Apostolic Church of Bastrop with the Rev. J.T. Wheat officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Oak Grove.

Trenton died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at Glenwood Medical Center in West Monroe.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Tristan Blain Stoffer of Oak Grove; his maternal grandparents, Kathy and Tracy Powers of Oak Grove; his paternal grandparents, David and Patricia Stoffer of Oak Grove; and his great-grandparents, Billy and Patricia Acreman of Oak Grove.
