DELANE WEATHERLY McKEITHEN

DELHI Delane Weatherly McKeithen died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe. She was 67.

Mrs. McKeithen was preceded in death by a grandson, William Shane McKeithen; a brother, J.E. “Bootsie” Weatherly; a sister, Patsy Weatherly Favors; and her parents, Edgar and Pearlie Matthews Weatherly.

She is survived by her husband, Huey “Buddy” McKeithen of Delhi; four sons, James McKeithen of Delhi, Pete McKeithen of Scroggins, Texas, Robbie McKeithen of Cooper, Texas, and Mike McKeithen of Devers, Texas; two brothers, J.Q. “Bo” Weatherly of Vidalia, La., and Hollis Weatherly of Delhi; a sister, JoAnn Weatherly Wilson of Crowville, La.; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services were at 10 a.m. today at Harmony Baptist Church with the Rev. W.H. “Buck” Curry Jr. officiating. Burial followed at Faith Memorial Park Cemetery in Delhi under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Bruce Perry, Todd Dulaney, David Hale, Bill Skipper, Todd Perry and Alvin Garvin.

Honorary pallbearers were Cody McKeithen and Chris McKeithen.

VESTA LUCILLE GRUPE

CHOUDRANT, La. Vesta Lucille Grupe died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002, at Lincoln General Hospital in Ruston, La. She was 80.

Mrs. Grupe was preceded in death by her husband, Walter L. Grupe, and her parents, Reaner and James Preston Goyne.

Survivors include a son, John Grupe of Choudrant, La.; three grandsons, John J. Grupe Jr. of Choudrant and Jarrod Heath and Brandon Heath, both of West Monroe; and one niece and one nephew.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at New Forest Cemetery in Forest, La.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove.
