ANNA O’BANNON BLANCHARD

Services for Anna O’Bannon Blanchard will be today at 3 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg with Tim Brown officiating. Burial will be at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visition will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Blanchard died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. She was 84.

She was born in Monroe, La., and had lived in Vicksburg for 60 years. She was a retired administrative assistant for the U.S. Government and a member of the Vicksburg Shrine Auxiliary and First Presbyterian Church of Vicksburg.

Survivors include her husband, N.J. “Jack” Blanchard of Vicksburg; and two daughters, Deanna Miller and Jacque Lynn Heriard, both of Vicksburg.

Pallbearers will be Trey Miller, Marvin Anderson, Bill Windham, Jarret Heriard, Gerald Braddock and Todd Windham.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church Building Fund.

DENWELL L. BURGESS

BAYTOWN, Texas Denwell L. Burgess died Monday, Sept. 2, 2002, at Veterans Administration Hospital in Houston, Texas. He was 77.

Mr. Burgess was a former resident of the Monticello Community in East Carroll Parish. He was a retired farmer and a Navy veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lindsey J. and Inez King Burgess; and his sister, Blanche B. Bullock.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Works Burgess of Baytown; one son, Darrell L. Burgess of LaPorte, Texas; two daughters, Joyce B. Cash of Shore Acres, Texas, and Suzanne B. Badeaux of Deer Park, Texas; five sisters, Dorothy B. Rodden of Epps, La., Sammie B. Rodden of Monroe, Katie B. Deen of Shreveport, Barbara B. Russell of Dell City, Okla., and Derona B. Knippers of Spring, Texas; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Cox Funeral Home in Delhi with Ed Weatherly, pastor of Garth Road Baptist Church of Baytown, officiating.

Burial will be at the Herringville Baptist Church Cemetery in the Monticello Community.

Visitation will be from 6 until 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bill Badeaux, Clayton Badeaux, Leslie Badeaux, Jell L. Burgess, Will Daigle and Travis Nelson.
