CYNTHIA SANDERS GEORGE

Cynthia Sanders George died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. She was 79.

Mrs. George was a homemaker and a member of Mount Calvary M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Sanders Sr., and Cynthia Phillips Sanders, and a brother, Alfred Sanders Jr.

She is survived by two sisters, Beatrice Robinson of Bolton and Mary Louise Young of Vicksburg; a brother, Percy Sanders of Louisville, Ky.; a daughter, Elizabeth Loggins of Southfield, Mich.; a son, Elijah Smith of Columbus, Ohio; a step-daughter, Shirley White of Vicksburg; and other relatives and friends, including Althea M. Baldwin of Vicksburg.

Williams Funeral Service has charge of arrangements.

LURLINE SUMRALL LEE

CLEVELAND, Miss. Lurline Sumrall Lee died Friday, Sept. 20, 2002 at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville. She was 76.

Mrs. Lee was born in Scott County and was a graduate of Cleveland High School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee; a brother, Delbert Hooper Sumrall; a sister, Frances Sumrall Hughes, and her parents, John and Viola Sumrall.

She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Lee Dixon of Kosciusko, Linda Lee Mason of Tallulah and Brenda Lee Gary of Greenville; a brother, W.J. Sumrall of Cleveland, a sister, Ethel Wood of Laurel; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and Jim Allen.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ray Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Hill officiating. Burial will follow in New Cleveland Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bob Godbold, Johnny Sumrall, Jerry Sumrall, Jeremy Sumrall, Jeff Sumrall and Wayne McClure.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Hood, Bennie Hood, Jerry Dixon, Talmage Kelly, Kenneth Mason, Charles Hughes, Roger Heard and John Bankston.

Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church of Cleveland or the Lupus Foundation.

BLANCHE WEDGEWORTH

Blanche Sutton Wedgeworth died Friday, Sept. 20, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. She was 74.

Mrs. Wedgeworth was born in Memphis and was a lifelong resident of Redwood. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Wedgeworth Sr., and her parents, Jeff and Josie Hood Sutton.

She is survived by two daughters, Peggy S. Smith of Merrett, Fla., and Nora S. Allen of Yekertinburg, Russia; a son, Joseph C. Wedgeworth Jr., of Redwood; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
