ROBERT EUGENE DUCKWORTH
KILBOURNE, La. Robert Eugene “Buddy” Duckworth died Monday, Sept. 23, 2002, at West Carroll Memorial Hospital in Oak Grove. He was 67.
Mr. Duckworth was born in Eudora, Ark., and was a resident of Kilbourne, La.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Flora and Buford Terrell Duckworth.
He is survived by his wife, Zelma Duckworth of Kilbourne; three sons, Ronald Duckworth, Wayne Duckworth and Dean Duckworth, all of Kilbourne; a daughter, Dianne Jarnevich of Kilbourne; one brother, Buford Duckworth of McComb; and five grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Kilbourne Baptist Church with the Revs. Bernard Duchesne and Mike Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Kilbourne Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Scott Costello, Billy Ray Costello, Robert Norman Costello, Enos Wicker, Gary Townsend, Seth Huffty, Joe Dalton and Jimmy McClendon.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Brown, Ernest Harrell, Roger Townsend, James Lingo, Charles Ray McAlpin and B.C. Haley.
ANTHONY NEAL
Services for Anthony “Ricky” Neal will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Travis Chapel A.M.E. Church, 745 Hutson St. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home.
Mr. Neal died Monday, Sept. 16, 2002, at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minn. He was 46.
Mr. Neal was born in Valley Park.
He is survived by his son, Eric Funches of Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters; his mother, Betty Scott of Chicago; four sisters, Arba Rhodes of Chicago, Dorothy Pempton of Minneapolis and Georgia Grayson and Julie Dailey, both of Calumet City, Ill.; two stepsisters, Matte Wood of Chicago and Eriazee Rodgers of Yazoo City; two brothers, George Neal of Dolton, Ill., and Arthur Neal of Yazoo City; seven stepbrothers, Leon Bullock, James Bullock, Cleotha Bullock, Jesse Blackmon and Odess Blackmon, all of Chicago, John Jones of Vicksburg and Lemira Scott of Redwood; one grandchild; and other relatives.
JOHNNY E. REAVES
Johnny E. “Buddy” Reaves died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. He was 81.
Mr. Reaves was born in Cleveland, Miss., to the late John Wesley and Georgie Annie McClellard Reaves. He had lived in Vicksburg most of his life. He worked as a messenger for Western Union and was employed by the Corps of Engineers for a number of years. He was an honorary deputy sheriff for 30 years.
Mr. Reaves was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruby Smith and Myrtle Bliss.
Survivors include a sister, Dixie R. Justice of Vicksburg; four nieces, Dixie Bliss McMullen of Vicksburg, Jackie J. Nicola of Florida, Dorothy Bonnette of Little Rock and Gan Hollingsworth of Pascagoula; and two nephews, Joe Frank Justice of Stone Mountain, Ga., and Allen Bliss Jr. of Kansas City, Mo.

CHRISTINE PICKERING SPEED
Christine Pickering Speed died Monday, Sept. 23, 2002, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 86.
A Desoto native, Mrs. Speed was reared in Collins. She graduated in 1934 from Collins High School and moved to Jackson in 1941. She had lived in Brandon since 1993.
She was a former member of Alta Woods United Methodist Church, where she was a longtime member of the Ladies Class. She was a member of Crossgates United Methodist Church, where she was in the Friendship Sunday school class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Cleveland Speed Jr., and two brothers, Kermit Pickering and Denton Pickering.
Survivors include three daughters, Dorris Mobarak of Pearl, Dot Meek of Brandon and Mary Burrow of Vicksburg; one brother, James Pickering of Collins; one sister, Erna Knight of Collins; and four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Crossgates United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home on High Street in Jackson and from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to Crossgates United Methodist Church, Alta Woods United Methodist Church, Bovina United Methodist Church or a favorite charity.
ROBERT L. AGOSTINELLI SR.
CLARKSDALE Robert L. Agostinelli Sr. died Monday, Sept. 23, 2002, at his home in Clarksdale. He was 67.
Mr. Agostinelli was a farmer and native of Bobo. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Marcellini Agostinelli of Clarksdale; a daughter, Gina Agostinelli Balducci of Clarksdale; three sons, Mark Allen Agostinelli and John Andrew Agostinelli, both of Lyon, and Robert Lawrence Agostinelli Jr. of Clarksdale; his mother, Mrs. Peter Agostinelli Sr. of Lyon; a sister, Rose Agostinelli Tabor of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Peter Agostinelli Jr. and Thomas Agostinelli, both of Lyon, and Victor Agostinelli of Vicksburg; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Clarksdale with the Rev. Kent Bowlds officiating.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at the church with prayer service at 7 p.m.
