JEANNETTE EUGENIA DAVIS

Denham Springs, La. Jeannette Eugenia Davis died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at Summit Hospital in Baton Rouge. She was 95.

Davis was born in Vicksburg. She lived in Baton Rouge and was a buyer for several department stores and worked at both Miller Buick Auto Company and Standard Insurance Real Estate.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Irvin D. Davis.

She is survived by her husband, Robert McDaniels; one niece; and two great-nephews.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Yokena Cemetery. The Rev. Arbie Goings will officiate.

CYNTHIA SANDERS GEORGE

Services for Cynthia Sanders George were at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Williams Funeral Service. Burial followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. George died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. She was 79.

Mrs. George was a homemaker and a member of Mount Calvary M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Sanders Sr. and Cynthia Phillips Sanders; her husband, Harry George; a sister and three brothers.

She is survived by two sisters, Beatrice Robinson of Bolton and Mary Louise Young of Vicksburg; two brothers, Henry Sanders of Denver and Percy Sanders of Louisville, Ky.; a son, Elijah Smith of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Elizabeth Loggins of Southfield, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Shirley Mixon of Vicksburg; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; friends and other relatives, including members of the Stewart family and Althea M. Baldwin of Vicksburg.

GRACE Z. SAIKLEY

SLIDELL, La. Grace Z. Saikley died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2002, at her home in Slidell, La. She was 70.

Mrs. Saikley was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Vicksburg for 35 years before moving to Slidell in 2000. As a member of St. George Antochian Church, she served in the Women of St. George and the Cedars Ladies Club.

Mrs. Saikley was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Katy Sadaka Zarick; her husband, the Very Rev. Nicholas Saikley, who served as pastor of St. George Antochian Church for 26 years; three sisters; and one brother.

Survivors include one son, Frank Saikley of Mobile; one daughter, Kathy S. Saway of Slidell; and three grandchildren.

Riles Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
