ROBERT ANTHONY ALBEREZ SR.

LAKE PROVIDENCE Robert Anthony Alberez Sr. died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at Glenwood Medical Center in West Monroe, La. He was 73.

Mr. Alberez was born in New Orleans and was a resident of Lake Providence.

He was preceded in death by his father, Nick Alberez Sr.; his mother, Claire Alberez; two brothers, Anthony Alberez and Nick Alberez; and a sister, Beverly Simpson.

He is survived by his wife, Loraine Inez Alberez of Lake Providence; a son, Robert Anthony Alberez of Pioneer, La.; four daughters, Rebecca Paris and Bobbie Prine, both of Forest, La., Angela Brewer of Tallulah and Regena Litton of Transylvania, La.; a brother, Eugene Alberez of Monticello; and 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Herringville Baptist Church in Monticello, La., with the Revs. Donnie Linson and Leslie Yates officiating. Burial will follow at Herringville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Paris, Dale Prine, James Litton, David Brewer, Charlie Paris and Nick Brewer.

JOSEPH W. MULLINS

Joseph W. Mullins died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. He was 69.

A lifelong resident of Vicksburg, Mr. Mullins was the son of the late Joseph W. and Ila Mae Young Mullins. He retired as a maintenance technician from Vicksburg Medical Center after 18 years of service. He also worked at the Vicksburg Police Department for a number of years. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Mullins was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Michael Mullins.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Williams of Edwards; one brother, Charles W. Mullins of Vestavia Hills, Ala.; two sisters, Katherine Mullins of Vicksburg and Ruth Davidson of North Haven, Conn.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fisher Funeral Home with Terry White officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bill Young, Ayla Williams, Bailey Williams, Stacey Williams, Billy Bishop, Ray Sanderson, John Lee, Frank Norwood and Pete Guido.

Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Hirston and Shirley Mayhall.
