VIRGINIA THOMAS BRADLEY

Services for Virginia Thomas Bradley will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem M.B. Church on North Washington Street with the Rev. David Brown Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Bar Ridge Cemetery under the direction of W.H. Jefferson Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until the service at the church.

Mrs. Bradley died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, at Heritage House Nursing Home. She was 69.

Mrs. Bradley was born in Edwards. She was retired from Batesville Casket Company and was a member of Bethlehem M.B. Church, where she served on the Mother Board.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Ella Lee Thomas; a son, Larry Bradley; eight brothers, John Henry Thomas, McKinley Thomas, Richard Thomas, Bennie Thomas, Louis Thomas, George Thomas, Allen Thomas and O.C. Thomas; and four sisters, Jessie B. Eatmon, Vantee Singleton, Arlene Thomas and Laree Thomas.

Survivors include Sylous Bradley of Vicksburg; two sons, James E. Thomas of Flint, Mich., and Cornelius Bradley of Vicksburg; a brother, Bennie Roby of Vicksburg; two sisters, Delores Roby of Vicksburg and Kayretha Smith of Learned, Miss.; four daughters, Rosella Bradley Parker, Hattie Pearl Bradley Harris and Camellia Bradley Mills, all of Flint, and Ella Lee Smith of Vicksburg; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and cousins.

MARIE YOUNG

Marie Young died today, Oct. 17, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. She was 97.

Mrs. Young was a member of Mount Zion Ballground M.B. Church where she was a church mother, a Sunday school teacher and secretary. She was a retired farmer and a member of the Golden Star Chapter No. 75 Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Young; her parents, Charlie Levy and Pearlie Diamond; and a sister, Mamie Lee Wells.

Survivors include a sister, Marie Harris of Bolton; a nephew, Preston Montgomery of Edwards; a niece, Earl Jeffery of Redwood; and other relatives, including Lemra Scott Sr. and Rhonda Ragan, both of Redwood, Larue Regan of California and Hattie Hodge of Chicago.
