Services for Gregory Lewis Pampley will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Heroden M.B. Church.
Visitation will be from noon until 7 p.m. Friday at Lakeview Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. Saturday until the service at the church.
Mr. Pampley died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was 50.
Mr. Pampley attended Rosa A. Temple High School where he was a member of the theater guild and graduated in 1970 from Chambersburg High School in Chambersburg, Pa. A self-taught musician, he received a bachelor of arts degree in music from Jackson State University in 1976.
He worked as a music teacher at Bolton-Edwards Attendance Center for more than 20 years. He was a member of Mount Heroden M.B. Church, where he was pianist for a number of years. He also served as pianist at Mount Calvary M.B. Church and Cedar Grove Mansion.
Survivors include his stepmother, Sadie Pampley of Vicksburg; a brother, Mack C. Pampley Jr. of Vicksburg; six sisters, Linda Stevens, Michelle Johnson and Patricia Kinnard, all of Vicksburg, Rose Sanders of Jackson, Peggy Simpson of New York City and Kimberly Love of Montgomery, Ala.; and nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives, including Hattie Winston of Los Angeles.
RANDY LAVELL ROBINSON
OAK GROVE Randy Lavell Robinson died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, at his home. He was 43.
He was preceded in death by his father, Buford Milton Robinson.
Survivors include his mother, Martha Evelyn Robinson of Oak Grove; a sister, Vicky R. Dettenhaim of Oak Grove; and two sons, Casey Lavell Robinson and Chad Buford Robinson, both of Oak Grove.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Grove with the Revs. Jimbo Herring and Paul Ninemire officiating. Burial will follow at New Forest Cemetery in Forest, La.
Pallbearers will be Zachary Bedenbender, Craig Bedenbender, Ezra Beeson, Mike Ward, Rusty Bennett and John Ray.
MARIE YOUNG
Services for Marie Young will be at noon Friday at Mount Zion Ballground M.B. Church. Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service at the church.
Mrs. Young died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. She was 97.
She was a member of Mount Zion Ballground M.B. Church where she was a church mother, a Sunday school teacher and secretary. She was a retired farmer and a member of the Golden Star Chapter No. 75 Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Young; her parents, Charlie Levy and Pearlie Diamond; and a sister, Mamie Lee Wells.
Survivors include a sister, Marie Harris of Bolton; a nephew, Preston Montgomery of Edwards; a niece, Earl Jeffery of Redwood; and other relatives, including Lemra Scott Sr. and Rhonda Ragan, both of Redwood, Larue Regan of California and Hattie Hodge of Chicago.
