Kerry Adrian Diggs died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at the Canada Roads Crossing and the Hwy. 27 intersection in Hinds County. He was 35.

A resident of Vicksburg, Mr. Diggs was self-employed as an automobile mechanic and automobile body repairman and painter.

Survivors include a son, Jacob Austin Diggs of Vicksburg; his mother, Millie Banks of Vicksburg; a brother, Ken Sharp of Vicksburg; his grandparents, Velton and Hazel Nevels of Vicksburg; and other relatives.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Glenwood Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ken Sharp, Tim Nevels, David Rayfield, Chris Farr, Walter Tedeton and James Parker.

SAMUEL OTIS HARRIS

Samuel Otis Harris, formerly of Vicksburg, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, in Bolton as the result of an automobile accident. He was 46.

Mr. Harris was a truck driver for the State of Tennessee. He was a member of Greater Mount Lebanon M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roosevelt Harris Sr. and Minveria Harris; a brother, Roosevelt Harris Jr.; and a sister, Nellie Hicks.

Survivors include his fiancee, Phyllis Linear of Jackson, Tenn.; a daughter, Lakisha Na’Shunda Hill Nelson of San Diego, Calif.; a brother, Edward Harris of Jackson, Miss.; five sisters, Lucy Green of Vicksburg, Helen Waites of Texas, and Geraldine Johnston, Shirley Hassan and Brenda Richardson, all of Los Angeles.

Williams Funeral Service has charge of arrangements.

MARY JO BOYD JONES

TCHULA Mary Jo Boyd Jones died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, at her home. She was 63.

Mrs. Jones was a resident of Tchula and retired from La-Z-Boy in Newton. She was a former resident of Little Rock, Miss.

She was preceded in death by a son, William H. “Billy” Jones Jr. of Little Rock; a brother, Tommy A. Boyd of Vicksburg; and a great-grandson.

Survivors include her husband, William “Henry” Jones of Tchula; a daughter, Naomi Smith of Carpentersville Ill.; a son, Larry W. Jones of Shreveport, La.; a sister-in-law, Sue M. Boyd of Vicksburg; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

Services were at 1 p.m. Monday at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel in Union, Miss., with Eddie Garrison officiating. Burial followed at Jones Family Cemetery in Little Rock.

Pallbearers were Larry Wayne Jones, Myrl Jones, Larry Neal Jones, Randy C. Vanhorn, Larry Wayne Jones Jr., Jeremy Jones, Wayne Buckalew and Tony Jones.

IDA MAE McNEIL

CINCINNATI, Ohio Ida Mae McNeil died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was 55.

A former resident of Vicksburg, Ms. McNeil was employed by Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Inetta Williams; and her grandmother, Alice Washington.

Survivors include two sons, Michael McNeil and Jeffery McNeil, both of Cincinnati; six daughters, Deborah Broach, Yolanda Little, Pamela Hemphill, Chandrula Nelson, Ursula Jones and Jennifer McNeil, all of Cincinnati; three brothers, Elbert Williams Jr., Danny Williams and Anthony Williams, all of Cincinnati; four sisters, Alice Blackmore, Shirley Mays Thomas and Carolyn Williams, all of Vicksburg, and Inetta Smith of Cincinnati; 19 grandchildren; and other relatives, including the Funches family of Vicksburg.

Renfro Funeral Service in Cincinnati has charge of arrangements.

THOMAS ROBERT MOSELEY SR.

OAK GROVE Thomas Robert “Bobby” Moseley Sr. died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2002, at Carroll Nursing Home in Oak Grove. He was 73.

Mr. Moseley was a resident of Forest, La.

He was preceded in death by his father, B.B. Moseley; his mother, Caddie Moseley May; his stepfather, Charlie A. May; a son, David Lee Moseley; and a sister, Jeanette May Barnett.

Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Mae Moseley of Forest; a son, Thomas R. Moseley Jr. of Oak Grove; a brother, Charles T. “Buddy” May of Oak Grove; six sisters, Julia May Kelly of Monroe, La., Patsy May Huff of Rocky Mount, N.C., Charlene May Ward and Shirley May Jones, both of Oak Grove, Mary Alice May DuFour of Shreveport, La., and Linda May Grubbs of White Oak, Texas; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 today at Cox Chapel in Oak Grove with the Rev. Bruce Lowery officiating. Burial will follow at New Forest Cemetery in Forest.

Visitation will be until the service at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Carlton Ward, David Carr, Larry Denmon, Shorty Gaston, Scotty Berry and Jerry Harper.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Bennett, Sidney Bennett, Leonard Bankston, Albert Mizell and Luther K. “Hawk” Stanford.
