LINNY MAE WHITLEY ALLEN

TALLULAH Linny Mae Whitley Allen died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002, at Madison Parish Hospital in Tallulah. She was 65.

Mrs. Allen was a lifelong resident of Tallulah and a retired, longtime employee of A.P.I.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Allen; and her parents, Albert and Annie Whitley.

She is survived by one daughter, Ann O’Neal of Slaughter, La.; three sons, William A. Allen of Tallulah, and Richard Dean Allen and Robert Allen, both of Houston, Texas; two brothers, A.J. Whitley of Tallulah and Cecil Whitley of Mangham, La.; six sisters, Tinny Mosley, Ann Coody, Betty Price, Gainelle Brewer and Ruby Freeman, all of Tallulah, and Norma Stanley of Houma, La.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Crothers-Glenwood Chapel in Tallulah with Pastors John Rushing and Joe Hammack officiating. Burial will follow at Silver Cross Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ron Stampley, Jeremy Mosley, Jessie Brewer Jr., Michael Freeman, Steve Whitley, Robert Bamburg, Calvin Johnston and Nathan Jones.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Mosley, David Jones, Chris Coody, Joey Freeman and Mike Price Jr.

INA M. ANDERSON

TALLULAH Ina M. Anderson died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002, at her home in Metairie, La. She was 92.

Born in Vicksburg, Mrs. Anderson lived in Tallulah for a number of years before moving to Metairie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse L. Anderson; two sisters, Georgia Morelock and Dean Griffin; and her parents, James and Hattye Griffin.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Anderson Faught of Metairie; a son, Thomas L. Anderson of Tallulah; and three grandchildren, Thomas L. Anderson Jr., Sealy E. Faught and Kathryn P. Faught.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home in Tallulah.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the service at the funeral home.

CLYDE E. DRAKE

Clyde E. Drake died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, at River Region Medical Center. He was 78.

Born in Louisiana, Mr. Drake had been a Vicksburg resident since 1961. He retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and was a veteran of the Marine Corps, serving in World War II. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include Bobbie Dillon of Vicksburg; two sons, Robert Drake of Baton Rouge and Leonard Drake of Des Allemands, La.; one sister, Norma Mae Drake of Lake Charles, La.; and five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Cresswell officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Steve Montgomery, Ronnie McBroom, Mark Drake, Norman Drake, Nathan Skipworth, Jack Sanders and Chuck Blackledge.

Honorary pallbearer will be James Loving.

KATHERINE MARY VINES DRIGGERS

Katherine Mary Vines Driggers, formerly of Vicksburg, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2002, in Millbrook, Ala. She was 31.

Mrs. Driggers was a New Orleans native and a Millbrook resident. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Millbrook.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Nicki Franatovich; her grandmother, Kathlene Glidewell; and her grandfather, Ernest Glidewell.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Diggers of Millbrook; a daughter, Ashlie Nicole Vines of Vicksburg; two sons, John Mason Vines IV of Vicksburg and Justin Taylor Driggers of Selma, Ala.; her mother and stepfather, Kathy Irene and Ray Hall of Gilmer, Texas; her father, Earl George Franatovich Jr. of New Orleans; three sisters, Michele Katherene Brown, Tammy Ann Gilmore and Shannon Marie Franatovich, all of Gilmer; and other relatives.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Friday until the service.

Pallbearers will be John Thomas Gilmore Jr., Robert Gladwell, Charles Edward Gladwell, David Gladwell, Willie Gladwell Sr. and Dean Glidewell Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Craver Jr., John Mason Vines III, Dean Glidewell Sr., Willie Gladwell Jr. and Brandon Wigley.
